Berkley Gulp Saltwater in Freshwater?

Featured Replies

I just returned from the coast fishing the inlets and marshes catching reds, trout, and flounder. I caught many of them on Berkley Saltwater Gulp. I have several of them left over and know I won't be a the coast for at least another year. I was wondering if they would work in freshwater?

They work just fine, have used them or similar , in fact I only use saltwater soft baits in freshwater.

I know of a guy that used the shrimp as a jig trailer.  He caught fish too.

Yup they work great! I personally like using DOA shrimp rigged tail first the bass love them

I caught this little 2lb 12ounce beauty last weekend on one that I "customized" I left a clear silver glitter shrimp in a bag with some watermelon senkos and it absorbed the green and then I had the tail sittin on a red color worm and the tail soaked up the red it looked really cool and it worked

I have used the minnow ones that look like flukes for bass and they nail em just fine!

Doa cal paddle tails are great, but I recently bought some mirrolure saltwater paddle tails and they are a bit heavier and lot more durable.

from my understanding is that the ''gulp'' liquid is the same wether it is used for salt water or fresh water , the only difference is that the baits are different ( sardines, crabs, ect.. for saltwater / worms and such for freshwater ) ...
