Hey Lund, who is the bagman for Cam????? :)

Don't worry Sam, until such time as all NCAA schools and conferences abide equally by the same rules or lack thereof, a little Patina on their Halos just adds character. Rejoice in the fact that your favorite team is at the top of both games right now. ;)

So another words Michigan has never violated a single NCAA rule?

Feb 23, 2010

Head coach Rich Rodriguez “failed to promote an atmosphere of compliance within the football program and failed to adequately monitor the duties and activities” of his quality control staff.

The athletic department “failed to adequately monitor its football program to assure” NCAA compliance. Rodriguez accepted responsibility for the violations.

January 6, 2011

Michigan fired coach Rich Rodriguez on Wednesday, ending a disappointing three-year tenure marred by embarrassing losses and NCAA violations at college football's winningest program.

d**n Michigan’s just like everybody else!

Don't blame any of the schools. The NCAA rules are totally unrealistic and almost inhumane toward the kids that are making billions of dollars for them. The NCAA is a total sham. JMO B)

Great claim to fame................noise, haha......I'll take the education U of M vs LSU

I see after this you found the easy one where UM was in the wrong. You don't want to forget a certain basketball player who admitted to shaving points in college games AFTER he turned pro.

My original point is that no school is free from the practice of how the bend the rules, including UM. I find it rather sad that a school becomes a power house in their chosen sport not only by the talents they show on the field, but also by the talents the typical fan doesn't see off of it.

LSU students have won the International Student High Achievement Award, an accolade given to students who score the highest possible score on the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) exam, seventeen times during the last twenty-one years.

In 2009, Entrepreneur Magazine ranked LSU among the top 12 Entrepreneurial Colleges and Universities in the nation

The University's Robert S. Reich School of Landscape Architecture was ranked No. 2 nationally in undergraduate and No. 3 in graduate programs by DesignIntelligence in its 2009 edition of "America's Best Architecture & Design Schools". The journal has ranked the school in the top five since 2004.

And we can kick your *** in football ;)

Hey Catt glad to see your feeling better. A little football talk is a good diversion.

Michigan's annual tuition, food and lodging $50,000.

LSU's annual tuition, food and lodging $15,000.

Out of state LSU annual tuition, food and lodging $28,000.

Michigan = snow and ice.

LSU - Unique. Beautiful weather and bass fishing all year plus outstanding hunting and salt water fishing.

Coeds - Up north = Goats. SEC = Miss Americas

Ice Hockey - OK, Michigan wins this one. :D

And just to remind everyone, Awbunn has four players in jail now.

In Louisiana we don't put our athlets in jail, other than for Billy Cannon and he is free at last and is a dentist at a jail.

We put our governors and insurance commissioners in jail. ;)

In most rankings U of M is around #28, certainly not the best in the country, LSU is around 124 th as a tier 2 school. Sure LSU is cheap, but you get what you pay for. Michigan's 4 year graduation rate is 72% considered high, LSU has 4 year graduation rate of 9% considered low. Michigan accepts 51% of applicants, LSU at 82%, sounds like they let any half wit in, there is no comparing the 2 schools on academic level. We speak English that anyone can understand without a translator.

So who cares?

LSU is by far a great place to go to school and enjoy college life.

Plus you can fish all year, both salt and freshwater.

If Michigan had the oil and gas revenues their tuition would be more competitive.

LSU rocks. Great place. Great education. Great football.

OK, I still give Michigan ice hockey. :)

P.S. Isn't this fun. At least we can have some fun with each other without bringing in bass fishing. Then again, Louisiana has some great bass fishing. Just ask KVD. :)

I agree La is a nice place to live, I've been there, and I'm sure if football and partying are one's major reason for being in college then LSU is the place to be, but if education is on the top of the priority list I'd be looking elsewhere.

If Michigan had the oil and gas revenues their tuition would be more competitive.
, somehow the money doesn't filter down to the people, LA is a poor state ( 10th from the bottom ) on income per capita basis. Michigan is significantly higher.

If I'm not mistaken KVD is a Michigan man, guess he's showing you southern boys how to catch bass.

I'm not sure of ANY accounting or business majors who left school hoping to become Certified Internal Auditors. Replace the Internal with Professional to get a CPA and you'll have something. The CIA exam is second rate and a DISTANT second at that. Basically LSU football to OSU football. CIA being OSU in that analogy.

But if your peeps feel like the smart portion of the second rate exam, who am I to take that away from them. :P

OK, knock it off guys. At the rate things are going, one of you will be saying "My Mother can beat up your Mother."

Michigan's annual tuition, food and lodging $50,000.

Just to be clear, that's the out of state rate and not the in state rate.

Sam... loved the lead-in to this thread. I was curious what was so good about being an Auburn Tiger. Made me laugh.

I'm sure LSU and Michigan alums were all pleased with their college years... great places for kids to further their education. However, neither of them have anything on Oklahoma (well, except for LSU's National Championship a few years ago).
