A day late for the birthday of the USMC. But since today is Veterans Day, here's my tribute. I took my son to the National Museum of the USMC this summer. Just got my photos uploaded. This is an amaazing Museum and if you are ever near Quantico, Virginia, it's a must-see.

Here's my album. 190 photos...

On the bucket list. After close scrutiny, I am glad they got the details I could see right (like the M1907 leather slings on the M1's the USMC did not use web slings in WW2). You would not believe how many museums I have been to that get "close enough" or things totaly wrong.

When I visited the museum I noticed the room temperature matched the exhibit.

It was cold for Korea and warm for Viet Nam.

Micro, did you and your son notice this? :)
