The Joys Of Parenthood

I used to, least in my mind, be a hell of an artist with an etch a sketch. I can't even draw a block on one now. And to make it all better my three year old son, the art critic, just told me "wow, your a bad drawer dad" :(

Least I can still impress him on his magnadoodle.

Got to love parenthood. My son just started school this year Pre-K. He be calling out all kinds of shapes and everything. I love watching him write his name for us or telling us his day at school. I don't even know what happen to my son doodle?? Disappeared somehow, He still uses his Aqua Doodle though but the pen is wore out. I just can't believe for their age how quick they pick up on dual shock. My first dual shock game was Rainbow Six for the PS and I suck at it, I had a hard time with killzone 1 and couldn't get it down but my son 4 is pretty darn good? He not good a FPS but good at controlling the dual shock controller. Kids are amazing and thank god for them and I'm proud to be a daddy!!

I agree with you whole heartedly homie. I wouldn't give it up for anything. My boy is the light of my life. Boy loves to go fish, he can't sit still long enough to stay with it, but he loves beating the banks with me. His second favorite thing is going out to the bps with me to watch the fish. In another year I can take him coon hunting with me, which seems to be his next ambition. He doesn't seem big on deer hunting yet, but I think that'll come with time. Really I just love hanging out with him. Hopefully will have him a sibling next year to play with, as well.

Hopefully I will be a daddy in the near future. My wife and I are "trying" I guess you would say. I always said I wasnt going to have kids until I had the money, but then I figured out that I would never have the money so why wait :D . My wife and I are both 23, but my father in law is 64 so she wants one now so he (or she, but hopefully he) can know his grandpa.

I love being a father my two boys are my life. Noah my 2.5 year old copies everything I do or say has to dress like me act like me everything he even thinks he's going out for opener ofgun season Saturday. He was flipping out that I went fishing with Francho Saturday and didnt take him. He's talking good now and the things he says idk where he comes up with it. The other day he was looking at a collage of pictures of all the big fish I caught last year I asked him what they all were pointing to each there all bass but 1 it's a pike and he thought every one was a crappie. After going over every pic I said " Noah there all bass bud no crappie" he went "aw s**t me sorry daddy" and he gets the swearing from my wife I'm usually good unless I trip over a toy lol. Then all is " oh tayyyyy mommy\daddy" when ever u tell him something.

Then there's jack my 3 month old he's just a butter ball he's so fat but man does he laugh at everything I do he's always fixed on me wanting my attention. I come home on lunch and he fusses till I pick him up then he's all smiles. He's only 3 mo and he talks up a storm every morning I wake up to him cooing and humming in the crib next to the bed he'll lay there for an our talking to him self till he's hungry then he giggles histaricly when I get him and hand him to the wife once the word boobie leaves my mouth he's giggly like a school girl lol.

I want to try for a another hopefully a girl next time but another boy would be cool to. Just keep telling the wife practice makes perfect and in 3 years we will have a girl as long as we practice lol

As a child, one says everything that comes to one's mind. As an adult, one learns (or should learn) to censor one's words. Late in life, we don't bother anymore and revert back to giving our full opinion on things. I can't wait until the day when I can garden in my underwear and get away with it.

I have a grandson ( to go with 5 daughters ). He is a blast, he exhausts me but he is my buddy.

I was pumped yesterday when I taught him to drink out of a water fountain.

I see most of the posts are about sons. We have 5 daughters and I always tried to show them different things and different perspectives. I didn't want them to think that girls could only be interested in "girly" things.

over the years "they" have owned H.O. race car sets, train sets, car models, remote control cars and we have also built & shot off model rockets.

I semi-regularly take our 12yr old twins to stock car or midget races. One of them has kind of fallen off the tomboyish angle but it is mainly due to the fact that she sees it as time to get some individual attention by staying behind with my wife.

This same daughter did go fishing with me ( w/o her twin sister ) and all things considered she had a good time as it was just her & dad.

I even taught one of them and her lawyers daghter's friend to do an oil change lol.

Point being don't forget about the daughters.

I agree but I only have my son Evan but I do have nieces that I love to death and try to talk to daily if I don't see them. Some I can't see since they live away. If I do ever get a girl I can't wait to name her. I had the pick out for a long while now.

My baby sister just turned 18, and I used to take her to do tomboyish stuff. We used to have a blast hanging out. She has long since discovered boys and would rather hang out with them and her friends. Which is completely understandable. But man we used to have some fun hanging out. I really hope my wife and my next child is a girl.

We have 2 boys and 1 girl. Perfect mix, but my poor daughter is like a 3rd son.
