everyone knows how good the roboworm is as a drop shot bait. i have had ok success wth it on a shakey head, but how does it stack up to the other so called shakeyhead worms. berkley shakyworm, berkelys hand poured, zoom, strike king etcc....

The straight tail 4 1/2" roboworm is my #1 numbers bait for drop shot.

In my hands they seem to have a better, more subtle action than the Berkley handpours. IIRC, the Berkley worms are a bit stiffer.

Same here, I kill em on a shakey head. I use brush hogs more on a DS than I do a roboworm. Robos on a shakey are absolutely deadly during spawn time.

Another "must-have" is the GYCB 6.5" Kut Tail. I read somewhere that

this is THE most popular soft plastic in Japan. Anyone know if that's

The kut tail is underrated. You can usually find them on ebay pretty cheap because everyone bids up the senkos.

I've read the same thing a number of times, and based on sales alone I'd be willing to believe it.

I actually have two packs of nut tail, but I have yet to catch any bass on it. Usually I rig it for drop shot, and fish the same way as a roboworm. How do u guys fish them?

I like to T-tig them with a 1/4oz bullet weight.

Roboworms were developed for the split shot market long before drop shotting became popular. The reason; Robowrm is a high floatation and soft with life like movement and consistant coloration. Shakey head jigs work well with worms having the same features. Roboworm may be the best soft high floatation worm, but not as durable for shakey head jigs as the less expensive mass produced injection molded worms like the Kut tails.

My favorite for shakey heads are both Roboworm and Iovino's straight tail 6" with 1" of the tail split. Roboworms curl tails are also good on dart heads.
