Does anyone here use this style of roundball head and do you like it?

I need to find me a mold that makes small weight jig heads that will hold big hooks.  I'm going to start fishing grubs more.

Yea: Check out *** Site, Brent sells one I use all the time, his have either a screw or small hook on the head itself.

Cabelas : there are a few on this page as well. I use the unpainted ones without the hook guards;several to choose from

Hey Gman I looking for grubs with a flat tail, instead of twister type, The tail I am looking for looks like the end of a Jelly Worm, if you come across any please let me know.

I use these when I walleye fish mostly

I am more of a fan of the hook with the screw lock for shaky jigs.  The standard ball heads I like with just the barb.  The standard heads work with both grubs and tubes.

That mold from Barlows would be interesting if you add a wire weedguard(minor modification may be needed).  Then it would make a nice skirted finesse jig.

Thats basically the same as my finesse jig mold.  I guess i can modify a weedguard pin to the mold to make these. Hmmmm]

Do grubs stay on this style head good?

I use them with Ikas,Fat Alberts and Hula Grubs, they really rip the Ikas!

I'm fussy about the jigheads I buy. Gotta have a quality hook and equally as important to me is the collar / barb behind the ball. I like a small diameter collar with a well pronounced barb. This (I think) keeps the shape of the bait intact and holds it on better.

Here's an example of what I look for in a jighead. This will hold any bait well without deforming the head:

Bilgerat.  Thats exactly the kind of mold I was looking for to reproduce those for 3-5 inch grubs.  I just cant find the mold to hold that big of a hook unless I use the one like muddy posted.  I have that mold and I'm thinking I might use it and customize a pin to make it a completely round head if I cant find one like you posted.  What a pain. LOL  Thanks for helping guys
