So 8 grams is ~10% of the rod's weight? That makes it a 2.81oz rod... Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight. If they are refering to just the blank, then that weight is not very impressive.

The Ad copy is pretty sketchy.

I personally like the Carrot Stix and look forward to seeing the new line of rods.

All I can say about the carrot stix maker is ..... WHY???

First they have the bright orange blank and now they come up with a black blank but sporting a NEON green Butt end

But don't get me wrong I do have the original carrot stix and I love them for soaking bait because I could be 100 yards away from it and still could see if the tip is moving on a bite

Die the Handel black & remove the hook holder and it looks like it'd be a good rod.

Someone explain to me how not sanding the blank makes it stronger? I'd think it'd be the other way around...

They seemed very nice in person, they greeted me politely. They had 3 sizes on display and 3 total. The med light rod felt like a feather

I think e21's goal is to see how ugly they can make and rod and see how many people are dumb enough to buy them. With all the breaking issues they've had and a terrible taste in color, I have stayed away and plan to do so.

Even covering that with Duct tape would be an improvement.

I was dead set on getting a Duckett rod for my Orra SX spinning reel. Then i picked up the Wild and it felt amazing. The green handle butt is hideous, but i own 4 Skeet rods, so i think a green handle butt that i dont see while fishing wont bother me.

I had the gold series great rod. When the rod broke was looking at the last eye and my braid had almost sawed all the way though. Would i buy a neither sure if they changed the eye material.

Interesting, one would think that braided line would have a difficult time cutting its way through a titanium carbide insert.

I had a guy on the lake make a comment about my yellow rods. It was a comment that questioned my sexuality. I kept my eye on him most the day, when i saw him heading in i followed. I was going to confront him, then i saw him get into a yellow SUV. Things that make you go hmmmm. My friend always gives me a hard time about my yellow rods, but i outfish him every time we fish together. I told him my yellow rods look better doubled over than his rods look with no fish at the end. People have yellow houses, cars, boats, etc. So why is it such a bad thing to have a yellow rod?

So anyone use one of these yet? Would love a real review other than the typical "Never fished a carrot stick but they def. break all the time so I never buy them". I also agree that not sure how braid can saw through titanium carbite.

I have a gold carrot stick and enjoy it and casts a mile. These look interesting so again would love a review of someone who has one.
