What kind of tape do you guys use to "tie down" the loose end of line on the original spools???

Do you use the same kind of tape to keep line from "unspooling" on your reels??

I want to make sure the tape I use does not leave a sticky residue on either the left over line or worse, on my reel.

Painter's Tape.

I just use painters tape as well.

x3 on the painters tape. I use it in the rod shop all the time.

Painters Tape or Rubber Band

Yep, painters or masking tape, same thing I believe...........do not use duct tape.
