The Richmond Fishing Expo returns for 2012 during the weekend of January 20, 21 and 22.

BE THERE!!!!

How about sharing some stories about past shows. Here are mine.

When Kevin VanDam was a seminar speaker I brought one of his books with me and he autographed it. He is a fantastic guy.

I listened to Ike and Woo Daves plus Aaron Martens at their seminars.

Got some great deals on Shimano reels and tackle.

We had a Bass Resource gathering one year and I met Wayne and other guys. Great meeting the guys.

Met Micro for the first time at a past Expo. He is a super guy but he doesn't talk to the ducks and geese!!!

Hope to see you all there. I will be wearing something LSU so if you see me stop and say hello.

He's not kidding. I met Sam last year (I think?) at the expo, and I knew it was him because of the LSU shirt.

You guys should look into going. It's a pretty coll show, lots of good stuff to buy and the speakers are equally good. One thing you should definitely do is hit up the dude giving out samples of his chicken rub. It's incredible.

you will see me and d hamn there for sure

My dad took off work for that Saturday. I'll be there 8)

im their ,,,, i say we have a BR green top meet

I went last year and was disappointed other then the speakers...seems to shrink in size every year! Think i may just use that day to go around to local tackle shops such as greentop and stock up and find some sales!

Aluma, give it a shot and speak with the vendors.

Ask them questions about their products and fishing.

Have some fun.

I went last year and had a blast. I got to meet and talk with Denny Brauer, he is a great guy. I also picked up a JB custom rod and some new jigs. I will be there again this year for sure!

Will be there certainly friday night, possibly saturday, and propbably will not make sunday......... no good work constantly getting in the way of fishing....

BTW.... anyone seem a seminar schedule yet? ...... Sam maybe?

On the website the seminar schedule page has no info in the actual dates......

I actually might be able to go down sunday too because of the 5pm close time.

Anyone ever stick around until closing...... get a few deals that way?

what day will you be there Sam and everyone else?

Planning to be there Friday and Saturday, depending on the event schedule

I plan to go on Friday when it opens at 10AM unless there are some interesting seminars on Saturday.

Looking foward to speaking with the vendors and getting their input on the new Alabama Rig.

Will also check with George of GMCO to note any new or improved maps.

Just something to do on a cold, winter day.

Hey, what kind of gear do they usually have for sale? I've been to some smaller expos with home-made baits, etc and that was about it.

Can I expect to see rods, reels, line, etc? And if so, how are the prices?

Bassclary, there will be the leading manufacturers' rods plus others.

You should have a nice selection of rods and reels.

Green Top will be there selling rods as will others.

Check out the vendors.

Finally the schedule is up. I wish I could see WILSON FRAIZER.... the sonar professor..... speak... but it seems like he might be around in Green Top to speak. Stuck working saturday during the day. I think that would a real interesting topic to learn more about. Heck always looking to get more out of electronics.

Will def get down friday night for Shaw Grigsby..... probably miss saturday..... Then be back sunday midday..... so anyone around those times feel free say hey!

I'll be there on Friday or Saturday for sure. Good read here, thanks for the heads up!

You can get a $2 off coupon for the show at Green Top.

Bigbarge, Wilson Frazier has his DVDs and he usually follows them when he gives seminars.

He starts out by explaining how sonar works and then he will go into the Lowrance units and how to set them up and what they can do which is mind boggeling. I never knew my unit could be set up in so many ways.

You can view his products he sells at this site: http://www.itainttv.com/

Hope you can make it one day to the Expo.

Just a reminder to the Virginia guys on the Forum: The Richmond Fishing Expo starts on Friday, January 20 and runs through Sunday, January 22.

Come on out and see what they have for your consideration and listen to some of the seminars.

Me, too.

I will arrive around 11 and start to walk around and talk to the vendors.

I'll be there after work, before 5pm. I want to here the Mike Jones on Finesse w/ Plastics.

Be there probably around 1 or 2 (as soon as I can escape this thing that always seems to get in the way of fishing stuff........ work)

Be the guy in the black CUA football hat if you want to say hi

I missed everyone from the Forum but I did speak and meet a lot of guys.

Enjoyed the show. Lots of vendors but of course, the bass boat count was down.

The new Bass Cats and Legends are sweet. Expensive, but sweet. And I like the triangular wells on the new Bass Cats.

I should have taken a closer look at the Tritons as my friend, Gene Hall, is selling them.

Lots of other types of boats being shown.

Shaw Grigsby's crankbait presentation was basic but informative. He also signed autographs and spoke to everyone who approached him. Another great ambassador for bass fishing.

I picked up a lot of plastics and a new Strike King KVD sexy shad frog from Green Top.

I always have a fun time at these events and I hope everyone who attended had a good time.

Seeing old friends and making new friends in the fishing industry is always a pleasure.

I'll be going this afternoon. I'm going to try and catch up with Jay when I am there. I'm back from the south and ready to start fishing!
