Look at all of the replies. I think it's safe to say, just about everyone uses trickworms. And they are one of the most versatile baits, from weightless to shakey heads.

Love the SpotRemover, makes that trick worm stand straight up.

  Try that presentation next to vertical objects, walls, dock posts, bridge pillers.

   

Try the True Tungsten weighted ones, you can fish them just under the surface, mid or on bottom all with the same rig. G bug and June bug have worked well for me in stained water, watermelon pumkin in clearer water.  I use the 1ft per sec sink rate ones.

Dicks in my area carrys them as well. Little more expensive than Zoom but more versitle IMHO.

First and only time I used a Trick Worm I rigged it nosed hooked weightless with an Owner Mosquito hook 1/0 and cast it towards a weed line and caught a fish on the first cast. Worm didn't even reach the bottom. The bass hit it on the fall.

My number 1 shakey head bait. When the water gets around 50* and the fish won't bite my shad raps, a green pumpkin trick worm with a 1/8 oz homemade shakey head normally get them to chomp down.

Yes they are great on a shakey head but my favorite way to fish it is rear weighted and skipped under trees, into and around cattails,pitched into cover,and shaken within lily pads.

  I've bought these at Bass Pro. They look like a finish nail only segmented. You can separate them at the segments for more or less weight. You push them into the tail of the worm ...

I love the tricks in watermelon pepper.  I use a small 1/16 bullet.

As everyone has stated it is very versatile. I use it mostly weightless or shakey. It is my #1 producing plastic.

skillet, I use the 3/64 oz. Lunker City lead nails (they are segmented) when I want a faster fall rate or when I'm fishing deeper than 10' when wacky rigging a Trick worm or finesse worm. I install them in the worm head because the plastic is thicker and can handle the stress of insertion better than the tail can.

Ya I use them alot.They work great Texas Rigged,favorite colors are watermelon/chart.,Big Texan,and Black.

you can fish these which ever way you can think! I love working them on the bottom with a keel weighted hook. pop, twitch, rest.... repeat. and you gotta love the colors they come in! red/black cores are evil!

Hmmmmmm, whenever I read a post that is critical of what another raves about, and refers to it as a POS, it makes me wonder why it works for one and not the other.

I like the *** tomato core worms, and they produce well for me.  If they don't for another, is it the bait or the person?

I cannot get a hit on rattletraps or similar crankbaits.  Does that make them all pieces os?  Or is it perhaps that I don't know what I'm doing with them?

If it works well for others, but not for me, the problem can likely be seen in the mirror.

You think I don't realize things like lures that don't work for me may work for you? Thats part of fishing.Your preaching to the choir. I beg your utmost forgiveness for saying it the wrong way. Sheesh : When certain colors or baits don't work for me or my style or my waters they go into the sh** pile and thats what I consider them to be.

One mans POS is another mans treasure I guess and it cracks me up how threads get resurrected just to nitpick at someone. :

You will like them on a t-rig, but you will love them fished wacky style. One of my number one fish catching lures. Don't cut them down either. Fish catching lures that are hard to beat. Try some in the watermellon/red. You will not regret it.
