Ok So I Need Some Help Here

Featured Replies

so the fiance got me some great gifts for christmas but all relating to my mma training/fighting. she surprised me the next day by saying she was gonna give me an early birthday gift of my choice. i fish smaller bodies of water and have always been a bank beater so i thought a lil 2 person pond boat would be awesome! i found one for 300 bux, boat, trailer, seats, oars, 32lb thrust minn kota trolling motor, and everstart battery. amazing deal but i cud also use another rod and reel combo for the upcoming tournament season.... so yea as u can see im in a bit of a bind, heeeelllpp! any suggestions or opinins r welcomed cus i cant make up my mind lol

I think you might get more use out of a pond boat. Going from a BB to a boater is a huge change.

I would go with the boat. Picking up a small boat with all that gear for $300 is a steal! Getting new rods and reels is always awesome, but fishing from shore you are kinda limited in what you can do. A small boat opens up all kinds of possibilities!

I used to beat the banks as well. Finally got a 2 man boat like your referring to. best move I ever made. get the boat and start saving for another combo, you can only use one at a time anyway!!

Definitely get off the shore. The next purchase should be an entry level fish finder. Good luck!

Go for the boat. Deals like that seem to be few and far between. Least for me anyway.

Yep, boat all the way. You will be amazed at the progression you will make as an angler. Small things will start to make more sense once you explore open water. Good luck and don't forget all the safety equipment required by your state. Have fun but be safe!

LOL....Wait till your married. You won't want physical items on your birthday. :angel4:

lol yea seriously lol funny thing is i was never gonna ask for anything for my bday since she spent so much on my christmas gifts. im very blessed n grateful to have a woman like her, shes really awesome and cus ive never had a girlfriend wanna fork out that kinda money on my fishing lol i cant wait to get the boat and i cant wait to start becoming a more well rounded angler. thanks for all the input and help guys its really appreciated.

If you r looking for a casting reel, i wud go with the abu garcia revo s they are not to expensive, they dont break they are very tough , and the cast great.

it depends on what way u are fishing for what rod to use but i like st croix or g loomis.

Lets see????? You have a good women and will soon have a boat to go with her. Sounds like you already have the keeper. Hang On!
