Anyone else hear about how Alton Jones found a skeleton in Falcon Lake?

Whoaaaaa...no way, haven't heard of it. Sounds very interesting though.

Yea, he found skeletal remains on the Mexico side of the lake. Apparently a family is hoping its the body of their missing son who was supposedly killed by the cartel. Crazy.

always heard Falcon Lake had "bass to die for"

There is a story about it on bassmaster.com also. Sounds like they were just fishing down the bank and his partner spotted it fast laying near the waters edge and it appeared at least the feet were tied together but was completely decomposed so it had been there for awhile.

Wow. Hadn't heard of this until now. Would be quite eerie to be fishing and find that.

Dead bodies are a common occurance in many parts of Mexico. Almost everyday headless and dismembered bodies are found, lining the sidewalks and streets. Sometimes the heads are displayed on stakes.

Not to get too political here but this is another example of the importation of our national drug problem unto other people. Among the major free-market countries, we have the highest % of the population in jail and a very high % of that is in for rather minor drug offenses. "Just say no" is about effective now as Prohibition was in the 20s. It breeds criminal behavior because of the extraordinary profits that come from illegality, just like in the 20s.
