Reel Experts, What Did I Do?!

Last week I took the two bearings out of one of my Curado E7s that are on each end of the spool. So I took the one out of the sideplate by the pins and then took the tension knob and spring out from next to the reel handle. I soaked the bearings overnight, lubed them and put them back in the next morning. Now when I cast it seems like the spool will almost slide inside the frame on the right (reel handle) side and makes kind of a rattling/clacking noise. I know that everything went back into the reel the same but the only thing I could think of is if the bearings aren't the exact same size and now the spool is trying to go towards the path of least resistance and move in towards the reel frame. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Is the spring tucked in under the lip of the frame, and is the spool tension knob snugged down to where it just stops the spool from spinning freely?

Also, did you misplace a spacer #664 or #2224?

The tension cap is too loose. Tighten it just until the side to side movement of ythe spool stops then adjust for weight of the lure. If he cap is tight and you still have slop, something got lost. Make sure the spring is seated down onto the bearing. If not it may keep the cap from tightening.

Thanks guys! I knew it had to be something simple because I didn't hardly do anything to it to cause the play in it that I could think of. The spring is seated on top of the bearing so I'll try tightening the tension cap down a little and see if that does it. If not I'll look into the spacer and see if I lost that thing somewhere.
