What is your favorite jig color and favorite trailer color that goes with it and why?

Blue on Black

Why? Because it works :(

I use pretty much the same colors that I always use for bass fishing. For the jigs - white, chartreuse, black, blue and crawdad colors. For the trailers - green pumpkin, dark blue, shad and perl.

This time of year in Kentucky with average water clarity or better I start with the redish-orange and black crawdad colored jigs with a dark blue glitter spec trailer. In muddier water I start out with a jig that is primarily white or chartreuse and a trailer that is perl or silver shad...

A black n blue or crawfish color jig and a Rage tail Okeechobee special craw or chunk.

Some form of green pumpkin-I make a few, and regular old black/blue.

I've found the high action trailers available excel almost all year.-rage tail, chigger chunk/craw, paca chunk, etc.

If you are searching for confidence keep your color selection simple, and fish high percentage areas (for jigs)=laydowns, logs etc

I use a Green Pumpkin jig & trailer the most often, will sometimes go with Brown/ Purple jig with a Peanut Butter/ Jelly Paca chunk and also will throw a Black/ Purple combo.

Peanut butter and jelly, and Black and Blue.

One of my jig teachers used only black and blue, while my other teacher used mostly black and red. Why because it matches the crawfish extremely well here.

when fishing behind them i fish a brown jig with yellow claws. Why because it matches bluegill enough. You'd almost think that we are trying to match the forage.  :(

I use a Brown/Green Pumpkin color called Indiana craw, unless the water clarity is bad then its Black/Blue with rattles.
