I recieved as a Curado CU100B Bantam as a freebie, the reel is in amazing shape works like a charm, and hardly a mark on it. Whoever owned it never used it. Anyway just trying to find some info, when were these made? I am assuming before the SF and HEG, it does have the super stopper anti-reverse. I think it's a 6.2:1 nice little reel have it on a ML jerkbait rod. Just trying to find some info on it. Thanks

90's. I have five different Bantam models.

I have had my Curado 100B's for 9 years and they are like new. They easily outcast my newer Curados with a flik of the wrist. The 50E is the closest thing to it.

2X, CU100B is better than the CU200E5 and yes, the 50E is the closest thing.

The B series appeared in 1994, production lasted 10 years. The B series was followed by the D series ( there´s no C series ).

Thanks, I'm gonna look at the reel foot for a serial number using that I can find the manufacturing date correct?

None of my Curados, Citicas, or Chronarchs have a serial number, no company that I know of does that. Raul is correct on the dates. Parts are still available for these reels and I'm sure they'll be available for along time due to the popularity of the B Series. Steve Kennedy still uses the B Series reels on tour. The B Curados were built like tanks, they just keep going and going and going year after year.

Found that out the hard way, lol. It has a sticker that is embossed YK S I'm guessing it's a date of manufacture code. Thanks for all the replies, gonna move the reel to a rod I use more, I've hardly used it at all, but it's smooth and casts well drag is smooth like it.
