Hello everyone,
I've been lurking for a while. I plan on buying a boat in the spring and getting back into fishing. Trying to bring my knowledge up to date with all of the new technical advances that have taken place since I last fished regularly. This may tell you something if you can remember Doug Hannon's camo essence mono line that's my last " technological advance" but I did drag a 10 lber out of the hydrilla with it though.
Good to be with you all and I'm sure that I'll learn quite a bit from y'all

Thanks for all of the welcomes. I enjoy reading all of the post. I am trying to gain as much insight on electronics and rods and reels as I can. I have my boat picked out and now just have these last few decisions to make with the electronics being the biggest challenge. I think it may be the HB 798 with SI

Welcome. I'll have to see where Deltona is in relation to Deland. If I remember correctly, it isn't far away. Will have to try Little Dupont next time we visit. A Florida lake is my favorite lake as well. Pulled my PB LMB out of it this past spring. :)

Congratulations on the new boat and gear.
