that's exactly what they are. I've seen those things before
  2. 12 blocks of Queens NY on fire and spreading fast.
  3. The 702C is by far my favorite rod. It is a true Med Fast action rod. It is perfect for shakyheads up to 1/4oz. It's the best lipless crankbait rod, even up to 1/2oz. I love it for spooks and weightless flukes and trickworms and light spinnerbaits, and it can't be beat for light wire finesse jigs. I've got one for sale in the flea market that I'll sell for 150 shipped. It still has the tags on it.
  4. A post about Religion and Politics. Do we count this as one warning or two?
  5. LOL Good idea bleedingshrimp. I'd love to see what people come up with.
  6. Is the water muddy?
  7. You heard him RW. Stand up...... Oh, you already are standing.

When the boys in my scout troop get old enough to date I give them a short lecture on how to save money in the dating world. It starts out like this. "Boy, Don't waste your money on someone else's wife." I learned that one the hard way.
  9. Sorry, I was on the phone while I was typing that. It's a Duckett Micro Magic Heavy.
  10. I put down a $330 dollar Jig rod that I've caught 100's of bass on and replaced it with a $165 dollar Jig Rod that I fell in love with. The first day I fished with it I was setting the hook on things that I've never felt before. I've never fished a rod so sensitive yet it still had the backbone to hoist a fish out of the thick stuff.
  11. Welcome to the family Ryan. I see you suffer from ADHD too. There are a lot of us here that switch hobbies every two years. LOL
  12. It's 3hrs to the lake I guide on. I'll drive anywhere to fish but Clarks Hill is only 20min away.
  13. During turnover I am searching for a part of the lake that isn't turning over. Then using search baits like spinnerbaits and lipless crankbaits till I find the fish then switch to the jig. After that I take a week long break and go back to fishing when the fish have adjusted to their new climate.
  14. Super Spook Jr. in clear or bone. I always change the hooks out.
  15. Backs of creeks Very Very Shallow Spinnerbait, jig, crankbait
  16. The very first run of Rage Tail products didn't have a clam shell. It was after Big O found out that his baits weren't holding their shape very well in the package that he sat down and designed the clam shells. Now the baits are perfect right out of the package.
  17. I've been reloading with my dad since I could sit on the stool and help. In fact I just finished up 100 rounds of .308 yesterday. And picking up the stuff to start doing 243 next week. I've never had a need for the three die sets. The two die set has always worked well. If you are going to shoot the rounds out of more than one gun you will need the neck sizer. In fact you may find that you need to resize to entire casing but that is very rare. I'm no expert by any means. I load what I need and keep it simple.
  18. They are one of my favorite fall crankbaits. I wore the paint off of a half dozen last year. Just make sure they are tuned right.
  19. Yea, the Savannah is a tough place to fish and it's in my back yard. I live about 15 min from Clarks Hill. I try to fish it twice a week if I don't have anything else going on. It's a great lake but a very tough nut to crack if you aren't use to lakes with blueback herring in them.
  20. Oh and be very careful. The lake is 10 ft low and there is a lot of unmarked humps that are just below the surface. Even out in the middle of the lake. If you have a GPS with Navionics pay close attention to it. If the water in front of you looks red it's not muddy, it's the bottom.
  21. I haven't been out there in a couple of weeks but I hear the bass are starting to move up. But two weeks ago they were spending the day at 50ft deep so "moving up" could mean anything. You can always find schooling bass on long points at the mouth of most major creeks. Concentrate on main lake stuff and the first third of the creeks and you should be able to find something.
  22. This is one of the best threads on BR about Hydrilla. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/79539-heavy-hydrilla-tactics/
  23. Yep, braid is your problem. It's to limp. Go with a floating line like a co-poly or a mono leader. A little trick I do when I'm having trouble keeping the nose up is a take some paraffin wax and rub it onto the last three feet of my leader or line. This will make the line float high and give you a great action.
  24. You know you are out of the South when you order tea and have to add the sugar yourself.
  25. Personally, My response to that would be, "Why keep them if I'm not going to eat them".
