  1. Strap a few dead chickens on the side and maybe. Other than that. I don't think so. But would you want to take that chance? I wouldn't.
  2. Ike, that sounds like a great idea. I'm going try that here where I live. What are the details? How did you contact the kids that needed it? I know Lake Conroe is pretty big. How did you get boats for them? How many tournaments have you had and how many participants were there? How did you supply them with gear or was it a snoopy rod round-up? How did you cover the insurance? How did you teach them how to bass fish so quickly? Was there a local bass club that sponsored you so you could have enough boats and experienced anglers? Was it like a CAST For Kids event or was it an actual tournament? That's quite a feat for a 14 year old to pull off. I'm impressed. P.S. You might want to clearify what TJBA stands for in you resume. Oh yea, I am still waiting for you to return my PM. I would like to get that letter out as soon as possible.
  3. What does TJBA stand for? I can't seem to find it when I google it. Why are they holding a Tournament on the 19th of April? That was a Wednesday.
  4. Yea the Do-it Mold lead molds. The market is ripe for these things, as Mike said a hidden weight spinnerbait is needed. Also with all the new styles of jigs like the swimming jig, the finnesse worm jigs, and the standup jigs, there is a need for many different molds for the do it yourselfer. The do-it Mold company has a bunch of molds but they only scrach the surface of the available industry. Soft plastic molds are great and a good way to go but anybody can make a silicone mold to copy a lure but not very many of them can make a lead mold.
  5. I would love to someone else make some quality lead molds. That looks like an open market to me. Let us know when you start. I will help you out anyway I can.
  6. Sharp hooks and inflatibles don't play well together. Go aluminum.
  7. Try sending a PM to spotaholic. His boat was doing the same thing about a month ago. He should be able to help a little.
  8. I have a legend C with the external chip. It is great. I have the Fishing HotSpots Map on it and it is also very detailed and easy to use. I would recomend it. Check E-bay I got mine on a Buy It Now for 100bucks less than retail.
  9. OK I wasn't going to chime in on this one but what the heck. I live in Georgia. I love Georgia and I am proud of being a Georgian. But there are so many holes in Perry's story how can anyone believe it. I look at it this way. Greater than 22lbs 4oz is a great goal and will be a super fish. If that weight was impossible to beat than it would suck. But it isn't. We know that from this past year. Those of you that fish in lakes that hold bass of that caliber need to consider yourself lucky. Now get out there and catch that stinkin fish. Dot all your i's and cross all your t's so we can put this record to rest. It stinks that a record that has so many holes in it stands, but what was the record before that. Do we even know? Just focus on the number and beat it. Please
  10. I don't want to know and I don't want my wife to know either. :-X
  11. I think the post was great. It helps the newer and younger fishermen know how important a licence. So don't worry about it Derrick. You actually offered a service by posting that. And for those who have trouble forgiving him. To bad. Derrick has showed us that this sport is important to him by apologizing and not running away from this site. That shows character.
  12. His first question was how much trouble could he get in. 500 dollar fine and/or 60 days in jail. His second question was would a cop or a warden be worse. A Warden. The fact that he would even ask this question could mean that he is considering fishing illegaly. That's enough to make anyone question his motives. Derrick I have one question for you. How is it that a man at your age, who has fished most of his life in a state known for it many public waters, and considers himself ready to fish in tournaments, go his entire life without fishing any public waters? It's funny how the simple wording of a statement or question can set off so many people. Please understand that we all love this sport and want to protect it for the future. When someone comes along that may want to do even the smallest thing to threaten it, we get defensive. Stand back for a second and read your original question from our eyes and try to understand why we got defensive.
  13. Get a second battery and an 82# thrust, 24V TM.
  14. A top water frog is a great choice. You could also try a floating worm on a light wire hook for a slower presentation.
  15. That's something esle ain't it. Very impressive.
  16. All Corp lakes have topo maps and sometimes detailed pictures of the lake just before filling. You can check the local librairy or courthouse or you can call and ask the the ACE if they have access to them. My lake is a ACE lake and was built in the 40's and has a 100+page detailed book on what it looked like before filling. I think with a little digging you should find what you are looking for.
  17. I have about 40 lbs of Senkos and I can count on one hand how many bass I have caught on them. I just don't seem to have the senko mojo.
  18. What type of lakes are they? Are the natural lakes or empoundments? Were they made or maintained by the Army Corps of Engeneers, State or County Governments, or a power company? How old are they?
  19. Go on line to your County's Web site or you can visit the county courthouse. It should be public information.
  20. There are a couple of posts I think you should reed first. https://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1143220947 https://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1124747048
  21. Another Senko mold at a competitive price wouldn't be bad but as Matt said, Think about different molds. I would like to see a good drop shot worm mold.
  22. I would start here. http://bassresource.com/beginner/beginner.html These articles will give you a great foundation of knoledge to start from. Then try a Texas Rig worm and a Senko to start with.
  23. Ceph, "Defeated the bait monkey. I don't believe you a bit. Your package hasn't arrived in the mail yet. If there isn't anything in it that the bait monkey slipped in under the radar, that's when I will believe you. ;D
