Why you should fish those nothing banks
When I do find a nothing bank with fish on it there are some things that I look for to discover a pattern and perhaps find another bank with the same production. The first as Chris mentioned is the wind direction. The second is the angle of the bank. I have found in the past that if can find another bank whith these two things in common with the first then there is about a 90% chance there will be fish there. Structure close by is alway a bonus.

Man that is SWEET. I can't wait to see what happens. LBH, I sure wish we could hold it here at Lake Varner. It's that big bass, trolling motor only lake sinko77 and I always talk about. My buddy caught 3 over 8lbs there yesterday.

HUGE bass problem HELP!!!!!!
You took the words right out of my mouth. This is the most important rule of sight fishing. You have got to stalk them just as if they were standing on the shore looking in your direction. Stay low and move slow and don't cast a shadow into the water. Don't wear bright colors. Keep your rod low when you cast.

Stitching pro's...question
There are a few things to take into concideration when you feel a fish. The biggest thing being the size of your bait. The longer your worm the longer you wait. I use worms from 5 inched to 14 inches. My rule is one tap for every 4 inches of worm. Now if your line goes slack and the fish is swimming towards you, it will generally have the whole bait in its mouth by the time you catch up to it so set the hook as soon as you feel the fish. (If you do have a fish swim towards you this also means that there are other fish in the same spot. Make another cast to the same place as soon as you can.) Now for most any other lure I say, first tap the fish grabs it second tap the fish has it good third tap the fish dropped it

One Thing That Makes You Better
[glb]CONCENTRATE!!![/glb] Pretend you are the bait. Concentrate on everything the lure does. Concentrate on every cast and every strike or missed strike. You will feel more and catch more fish.

What's the Deal with Fishing a Point
Now don't forget the other types of points. Besides points of land there are points of cover. Say you are moving down a bank with an obvious weedline. You see a spot where the weeds come out a little farther then the rest. This is a bass magnet. A point could be a bush or stickup that sticks out a little farther. Bass love these because it is a great ambush position and it is also the closest cover to deep water where they feel safe. When bass migrate out of deep water to feed they will more than likely make contact with shallow cover at these types of points. Then they will disperse out into the surrounding area.

Every use satelite photos of your lake?
Yea man, the ones on terraserver just so happened to have been taken when the lake was down almost 14ft. I zoomed in and copied almost 20 miles of shore line and have a great catalog that I used for that extra edge. I've been offered big buck for it.
