I haven't read all the responses yet but here's my opinion. How stupid can a father be. Come on. A grown man has trouble keeping an automatic weapon down. He and the idiot who offered him the gun need to go to jail and have a sign on the door that says I'm stupid.

They are great spawn baits buuuuuuuuuuuuttttt they are awesome prespawn lures. Cast them out and let them sink to the bottom. Then reel them back slowly just off the bottom. The bass can't stand them.

I wouldn't know what to do with two elk right now. That alot of meat. My dad and I shot four Carabou one year and it was tough finding places to put it. An adult deer here in GA dresses out at about 135 to 150lbs. We can shoot 12 a year. (2 bucks/ 10 does) Some people take that many but if I am not going to eat it, I don't shoot it. So 4 deer is my limit.

Congrats, They both look like they will be good eating. That little one would have been fine. By now she has been wheaned and ready to survive on her own. But sence you took her you might as well enjoy the tender roasts that you get. Yum Yum I've taken one doe so far this year but I need a few more to stock the freezer for the next year.

Welcome, There are a few members from NC on here but I don't know of any that are close to you. I guide a small lake in the southern part of NC but I never get up around you. There are plenty from VA though. Anyway, Welcome to the family we are glad you like what you see here.

When I was stationed in Hawaii. We had a very serious problem with stray cats living around the barracks. It got so bad that you had to be careful when opening the trash can because a cat would jump out and attack you. The root of the problem was that we had a lot of happy cats. Happy cats reproduce more and have more kittens per litter.... So why were these cats happy? We found out that there was a female officer who didn't even live there who would come by every day with cat food and feeding them. It was a pain in the butt to get her to stop, but she did. This took care of the constant supply of new cats so now we could focus on how to reduce their population. We got permission to use live traps and then the Animal shelter euthanized them for us. So find out who's feeding them and make them stop. I guarantee that one or more people are keeping them happy or there wouldn't be a problem. In many cities and states it is legal to kill ferrell animals. (cats included) Check your local laws. If there isn't a law addressing ferrell animals on the books then propose one to the city council. Get your local government involved.

You have a pond that is out of balance. You need to start removeing the smaller ones and improving the cover for the bait fish to hide and get bigger. This isn't the only fix. These are just two that you can do on your own.
