  1. I just crunched some numbers and with me pulling my boat on a 1000 mile round trip, fishing for five days and camping, my total will be between $250 and $300. If I share costs with anyone it will go down from there. Not bad Trust me guys this can be done on a limited budget.
  2. I love my H2O Express bag from Academy Sports.
  3. OH YEA!!!, Here we go y'all. Make your reservations and don't forget to tell them you are with BassResource. This year will be a blast. How to save money on the trip. 1. Share the cost of a room or cabin with another member or members. 2. Share the the drive and gas money with someone. 3. Split boat rental and gas money with a partner. 4. Get a campsite and pitch a tent. 5. If your flying. Mail the bulk of your stuff UPS to the Lodge. Any other Ideas?

You found the perfect place for a beginning bass angler. Take your time and ask a lot of questions. We don't mind the dumb questions either.
  5. I'll be driving from Augusta, Ga to Atlanta and then North on I-75 and then on I-24 to Ky Lake. I will have room to pick up one or two if you want to hitch a ride. If anyone needs somebody to split the cost of a room PM me. I'll sleep on the floor if I have to. If not I'll be sleeping in my tent.
  6. I know I'm slow sometimes but that looks like four. It was 1am. I needed a break.
  7. I think the only reason you saw them used during post spawn is because the pros didn't start buying them untill the Clarks Hill tournament that was in post spawn. I think they will be great prespawn search baits as well.
  8. Did you see the prices of those Dobyns Rods. Holy Crap. $109 for the spinning rods. That 701SF is my is the best dropshot rod I have ever used. I have two of them.
  9. In the world of outdoor entertainment there are two seasons. Fishing and Hunting. It is currently Hunting Season. Just wait till February and the fishing shows will come back on.

  11. Would you rather get blasted here and have a chance to fix it or when you approach a company to ask for their money?
  12. I agree with spotaholic 100%. We have fished together nearly every Monday and many Fridays for the past 3 years and he is consistent all year with a Super Fluke. He cleaned my clock Monday with a Fluke and a jig. : Once you find those three or four lures/techniques that you have the most confidence in you have a solid foundation that will reduce the number of days you get skunked. Keep them close and use them in every situation. I'm not saying to focus entirely on those few lures/techniques. You should have a good working knowledge of many other lures so you can fine tune a pattern if needs be. My three lures/techniques are. 1. Jighead Worm (Spot Remover with any worm) 2. Dropshot 3. Jig 4. Fluke I totally believe that I can catch a fish any time of the year with these four lures. But I also have confidence in crankbaits, spinnerbaits, topwater, jerkbaits and swimbaits and I'm not afraid to pull them out.
  13. American Rodsmith also makes pink rods.
  14. Here's some article that you'll find here on BassResource. http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/jerkbaits.html http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/fish_jerkbait.html http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/Jerkbait_fishing.html http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/jerkbaits_bass_fishing.html - by Mike Iaconelli http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/jerkbaits_muddy_water.html
  15. Welcome Ed. It's good to see another Georgia Fisherman join the forum. I live in Evans but I regularly get to Covington and fish Oconee and Jackson. I try to fish as many Berry's Tournaments as I can. What tournaments and lakes do you fish?
  16. I'm going fishing tomorrow...... Again. Don't you wish you lived down here. lol
  17. I'm sorry but I am very ingnorant of how a Union works. So I'm asking these questions for my own understanding. Muddy, Your statement brings up another question. Could the Unions have had something do do with the increase in cost of living over all these years?
  18. Where I live- Cost of living is low, pay is high. I don't worry about my job, they treat me well. You can buy a 2000sqft home in one of the best neighborhood for 140,000. Gas is nearly the lowest in the country. There are no Unions to be found anywhere. I don't see the upside to being involved in a Union. What can they give me that I don't already have?
  19. Outstanding. That's what I caught the one in my avatar on. It went 4+.
  20. The good thing is that we didn't ban you. Try hitting F5 and refresh your browser.
  21. To a point. The bass location is mostly correct according to the water temp. The lures are correct. The need to work the lure is correct. And the maps and lakes are exactly like they are in real life. Other than that your better off finding good videos.
  22. The best bass fishing game that has ever come out was Trophy Bass 2004. It was awesome. Then Bass Pro took over the cost of the sequels and screwed up Trophy Bass 2007.
  23. Isn't it funny when you read the title of a thread and know instantly who started it. : What is the word "thas"? What do it mean Bubba?
