Anyone have this rod? also is it a good rod for jigs? my rods that i have right now are way to stiff in the tip so i was lookin at buying another rod for flipping jigs and plastics.

if theres alot of shad i use a zell pop with white on bottom yellow on top. but if im fishing a lake with just bluegills like i did back home in northern michigan i used bronze colored pop rs or black back silver belly.

Im and E4 in the Air Force work as a civil engineer. So i operate heavy equipment. I also work on water mains, fire suppression, and anything to do with gas. When we deploy as RED HORSE we fly in to a nothing location and set up bare bases in the middle of nowhere in iraq or afghanistan.

I dont know what kinda river your fishing shallow or deep. but we use mepps #4 silver bladed spinners cast down stream and reel straight upstream. thats all we use and limit out just about every time.

I used to go there every yr on vaction with my parents before i joined to go see old friends when we were stationed there, and the gasconade is a good river to catch decent largemouth and some good smallies. we did our best for largemouths on spinnerbaits and frogs in small pools and under trees hanging over the bank. for the smallies spinnerbaits in white or chartreuse. good luck next time.

Ya where he caught that is where me and my dad go when im home on leave to catch salmon out of the manistee river. maybe we will have to try for some trout next time. caught a few out of there but were only like 13 inches long while trying to catch salmon.

Hey guys just wanted to let you know that this site is awesome. about a month ago i put up a post about wanting to buy some bassmaster magazines since i am iraq and getting pretty bored with what i had. some people replied and said they would send me some free of charge. well i just received a box today from Dr. Kurt Michaux. the box was full of good stuff a bunch of magazines,books,dvds and hand held video games,ABA stickers and BASS stickers which im a member of both so that was awesome. once again thank you very much sir. i really appreciated everything. this place is awesome.

I had a similiar experience. me and my buddy were driving by a pond and we knew the people there went to our highschool. so we stop by and the owner is out there fishing with a orange trout spinner and were like hey mind if we fish here for while hes like suer not really any big ones in here. well we started throwing senkos and ended up catching nothing but 18-21" fish it was insane..you would have to believe it to see it. and sure enough i catch the second biggest smallie i ever have 22" it was a beast lol. we went back a few times caught em on frogs and spinnerbaits also...ahh good times back in highschool. but no 8lbers haha nice fish man.

ya i had a day like that this morning had the bubble guts at 5 am lol barely made it to the porta jon outside my trailier and of course no one ever uses it till the day i round the corner to use it before somthing bad happens, and sure enough someone else is walking in. and i banged on the door nicely haha. good times. and then at 9 am sure enough hits me again and guess what lol the TCNS were cleanin the bathroom where i had to go ahhh so unlucky.

idk about that man im in baghdad right now and i know alot of contractors. alot of them told me they planned on only staying for 1 yr and ended up being here 4-5 yrs., there wife left them kids dont talk to them but they have like 500,000 sitting in the bank for what nothing. everyone they loved left them. not saying you will do that by anymeans but why not get your degree and do what you want to do. instead of coming over here and being told what to do and possibly get killed?

if you got a boat just sit on the front deck seat. then you will have no weight on it. fish al day have your buddy help you load and unload.
