Video - How to fizz a bass
I realy doubt anything will work on the deep caught salty fish withe eyes poped out and thier stomachs sticking out of thier mouths but it is possible. It would be hard to prove though. with all the predators and birds and seals you wouldnt know if it made it or not. If the fish is not eye and stomach poped then I would think that both sinking and or fizzing would work. As for humans. I am sure that would also work but I think most would rather deflate themselfs naturaly then stick a big ol needle in themselfs ;D

Reaction Strike California Classic - any good?
Micro I could post negative things about all the junk baits I see escpecialy the junk swimbaits but I try not to. I would rather not post negative escpecialy on a public forum. I am sure I have in the past but I try not to do it much. If you have any questions about any swimbaits you can send me a PM and I will give you my honest opinion without trying to sell you one of mine. For the record I rarley disagree with anything Fourbizz has posted about swimbaits. I have also personaly fished or have friends that have fished just about every swimbait on the market. I can relate to what Forbizz is saying. He and Randall know thier stuff. MOST IMPORTANT they know their stuff from first hand experiance not from reading about it like most guys who give swimbait advise. You already bought the bait so its a mute point. Go out and fish it and make up your own opinion. keep in mind though that anytime you get a "deal" and the bait does not meet your expectation that ABSOLUTLY does not mean that a higher priced bait that apereas to be similar will perform like the "deal"

Video - How to fizz a bass
If you have to keep your fish(tournament) then it is good to know how to fiz a fish. However sinking them is much better if your releasing them at that time. You take a lage torpedo weight about a pound. with a heavy line tied to one end of the weight, shove the other end of the weight into the fishes stomach. Then sink the fish to the bottom of deeper water. Giv ethe line some tugs untill the fish caughs up the weigh. The presure ffom the deep water will naturaly deflate the fish without poking holes in it. Of course if you have to keep the fish in a well to weigh it in later then fizzing works

In what conditions do you NOT throw a spinnerbait?
The best time to NOT throw a spinnerbait is when you are fishing. The next best thing to NOT Throw would be a crankbait. I never use them and I have 100's

IGFA Rules on Treble Hooks
I also believe the IGFA treble hook rules are stupid and unwarented. The spirit of the rule is to prevent anglers from snagging fish. This is obviously not the intention when using bait for catfish or when imbeding one ofe the hooks of a treble in the belly of a swimbait. But because the treble is not free swinging it is not allowed by the IGFA. Dumb rule that should be amended
-
IGFA Rules on Treble Hooks
A rapala is a plug. Any hard lure is a plug. Trebbles are allowed on those lures as long as they are free swinging and not fixed in place, So if they are on splitrings and can move you are fine. You are not allowed to use trebles with bait. It must be a single hook. However the IGFA only counts if you are actualy trying to break one of thier records. Its not like your breaking a law if you use a treble to target catfish.

Will bass eat below them?
It is a fact not an opinion that bass eat downward. Bass love dads and they dont go around swimming. they walk on the bottom.

Would you eat a pot bellied female bass full of eggs in the spring?
What is the difference? well it depends on whot you are trying to achive. If you want a lake full of small fish so you can go there and catch a lot then release them all. If you want a lake that has less fish but produces monsters then keep the males and let the fry get eaten. The fat female is already the results you are trying to achive so you don remove that one. There will always be fry that reach adulthood. In an older healthy lake a good sucesful spawn can be a negative thing. Too many small bass eating up the prey can make the lake becoem unbalanced. The predators will overpopulate and become stunted. All of this depends on what part of the country you are from and the exact lake. Each lake is different. If a lake has a small population of healthy bass then you should release most if not all the bass. If the lake has a too many smaller bass and the bigger fish are a little thinner then they should be then the best fish you could remove is the bedding male.

swim baits....
That is the Japanese ninja with a Hudd/wedge tail. The Ninjas that are availible here have a boot tail. Not saying anything about catching abilities or durability just pointing out that they changed the baits that they are selling here.

Akita swimbait?
I have delt with the factory that produces those baits. It is the one major factory in China that produces alot of wood swimbaits and musky that are on the market. They are are stock factory baits that they sell to anybody. Akita is just another buyer. There are several "brands" that do this and they may have a custom color but they are all the same. They are also all the same quality. I will let you all make up your mind about the quality.

WOW!!! my day just got 11 lbs. and 10 oz. better!
Congrats Paul great way to start the year. You are very observant and you know how to use what you see to your advantage. A lot of people dont realy understand what they are seeing when they see it. You get it. Thats why you stick big fish. Jay you are probably better then I am. I am only good at a few techniques. I am extremly NOT well rounded. Tomorrow will be my first trip in 09 for bass. I can only hope to get one like Paul's. Awsome fish!

Pet peave's that shouldn't be
Ok well all have our pet peaves like rudeness and litter etc. I want to know what are your pet peaves that relay shouldnt bother you buy they do anyways. Mine are #1 I dont know why it bothers me but it does. A bluegill is a bluegill. It is not a bream or a brim. A bream is a fish that lives in Europe. and a Brim is just a bad pronuciation of bream. This has always botherd me. Its kind of like calling a bass a carp. Now I realize that It shouldnt bother me and its dumb to let it bother me but I cant help it. #2 Another pet peave is naming colors after shad, like a red plastic worm called "red shad" Makes no sense !! Its a worm!! and there aint no such thing as a red shad!!! Yeah I know I am being dumb. I am sure you guys have some little things that bother you that realy shoulnt, lets hear them.

What are these Bass DOING!
Sneak up on them, use very light line like 4-6lb and fly line a night crawler. Cas it in front of them and let it drift down to them. D o not let them see you.

Which is Cheaper? making lures or buying them?
It also depends alot on which baits you are going to make. There are guys who sell baits like *** who make money buy selling for little proffit but sell in large volumes so its worth it. You can buy big bags of senko knock offs and other popular stlyes from *** and it would not be worth your time to make them yourself. His prices are just to low to warent buying all the suplies just to save 2 cents a senko. One advantage is custom colors. I orginaly got started making baits because I was using saltwater swimbaits that cost about 50-75 cents each. I might go through 20-30 of them a day. I started making my own and instantly started saving money. But it is adictive, now look at me. I spend a lot more time making baits then I do fishing, or anything else for that mater.

The 25lb Bass
A giant bass fight is like a vintage Mike Tyson fight. but then they quickly tire after 3 rounds comparred to other fish who fight all 15 rounds hard. A giant bass fights smart, they do everything they can to get off. They dont just pull and run. If you give them drag then there is a good chance you will loose them. If you let them jump there is a good chance they will throw your bait. Stick them hard, fight them hard , atempt to controll the fight, and end it as soon as possible. Get to agresive and she will break you off, get to carefull and she will hang you or throw you. It is the most exciting 2-3 minutes in fishing. I also fish big saltware and its cool but its not the same. You never know your going to land a huge bass untill its actualy landed. A big saltwer fish is different, You know you going to win. it may be much mor phyisical and a lot longer but the outcome is generaly predictable.
