So the girl and I headed to New York City and Hofstra for the weekend. I have been there a few times and she went to Hofstra University down there last year. What a place during Christmas time. Had to rely on the subways and taxi's because I still can hardly walk but it was still a good time. Got some sympathy for it afterwards anyway. I'm easily annoyed and such but if anyone ever gets the chance to go for a day or two (any more than that maybe too much), go. I have been to most big U.S. cities and this place is just something else. It truly is a different world. As for Hofstra, WOW. The money involved there is just sick. There is no such thing as a poor college student there. The freshman parking lot was loaded with Mercedes, Lexus SUV's, and Hummers, just crazy. The building and such were pretty amazing as well. A beautiful campus, but you cannot even walk on the lawn on the sides of the walkways. You do and you get in trouble.

That's the scariest stuff around in my book. Right up there with heroin and such. You want to talk about addictive, nothing like prescription pain killers.

Idiots for bringing drugs on a school campus. But if it doesn't effect what they do in the classroom then what's the big deal. What happens outside of school is their own business. If they want to smoke a joint on a Saturday fine, as long as they are in class doing their job on Monday I don't see the big deal. I know of 7 or 8 high school teachers I had that smoked pot. One of which had a perscription for it for his chronic back pain and had early stages of glaucoma. He was one of the best and brightest teachers I ever had. I figure there was more than just pot and they found some heaver stuff in their cars. But as for a teacher smoking pot, I could careless. The number of people who smoke pot in RI and Mass is crazy. Mass just passed laws to lower the punishments of people caught with pot and RI hands out scripts for it. It is by no means acceptable, but socially it is very common and is looked upon by a lot of people as not a big deal.

Just go into a college classroom. Same thing, but from the teachers and in discussions. Especially in classes where things can get heated like a Poli-Sci, American Government, or Ethics. Some good times though.

Next Sunday night will answer this question. The drama around the Giants seem to be taking it's toll and Eli looks awful, while Carolina's offense is something else. That's going to be a great game.

Excuse me? Did you really think about that comment before you said it? Hate to break it to ya, but the same issue exists in the North big guy. Ain't nobody holding hands and singing kume bye ya around here. I find the "northern stereotype" comments very offensive. Maybe because I love sweet tea, southern BBQ, country music, bass fishing, and NASCAR. So does most of my friends. Don't try to shoehorn me, my family, and my friends into some malformed stereotype based on where we live, thank you very much. Oh, and Merry Christmas! No I didn't sorry. I forget the Great Lake states, Montana, the tip od Idaho, and the Pacific northwest states exist sometimes. I should specify, New England/southern New England/RI. And there is a reason I put that 80% figure.
