  1. Thanks... You been drinking? lol
  2. So you answered your own question and another. If you want to talk on the phone while fishing, go with a twitchin bar. ;D :
  3. I shall drink some seasonal Sangria in your honor.
  4. Must be a Northern thing. You can't say or will never hear a store employee say Merry Christmas, it is always Happy Holiday's. Also telling the wrong person Merry Christmas can lead to a good argument, the same goes for saying "God bless you" if someone sneezes. And about 80% of young kids up here don't even know what Christmas is about to begin with. All they know is go along with the social norms and you get presents from Santa. The holiday has completely lost its meaning up here imo. But at the same time I'm a grinch anyway so what do I care. (No trying to and don't intend on going the religion road)
  5. Dewalt bits are still pretty good. Then again I'm a rookie... :-/
  6. I just like how they flew in on their private jets, then drove back... ;D
  7. Drove by Johnson's today and it is over-full and zero ice thanks to that nice 50 degree rain. Might be the last chance to fish until March.

Ahem!!! Cough ,Cough! I thought this thread was referring to the picture of you bending over with the red dental floss underwear on. ;D
  9. Most of my professors limit the number of internet sources we can use. Most of the time it is five. So we have to go to the library and dig through those dreaded periodicals and things called books
  10. My first thought of this was a quote from Seinfeld...Shrinkage ;D
  11. Depends on the math. But I would take a paper over a math exam 9 times out of ten. The hardest part of the paper is that it is so time consuming finding your sources and info. After that it is smooth sailing.
  12. You know I can't resist St.Croix threads. ;D
  13. You should have taken a few culinary classes so you don't get sick and have stuff coming out both ends. ;D
  14. Try livin in very close proximity to the twisted freak. Hope you lock your doors at night.
  15. It's ok, just walk away from the computer, light up one of your Virginia Slims, and you'll feel better.
  16. Before making that assumption you'll need to give the Avid and Legend Elite Series a try. Generally, the Avid is a "best value". Right now the Legend Elite are on sale for about the same price. http://www.reedssports.com/Category/main.taf?cat=1754 8-) We are not having this debate again... ;D : I could spend $300 on one of these, or get a rod just as light and sensitive, if not lighter and more sensitive, for half the price, and still have a lifetime warranty......Orange is where it is at. But it wouldn't say St. Croix on the side, now would it? DING DING, We have a winner!!!

And the Avid's have not been the best deal for a while. Even before Carrots there were Airrus's. It's like comparing a broomstick to a feather. ;D
  18. They were my work horses back in the day until I found Kistler's and such. I still own 2, one for spinnerbaits and one for froggin. But St. Croix's are becoming obsolete imo.
  19. Don't know what they are doing there but if there is that is your issue. Not the line company.
  20. LOL, welcome to the northerner's world. Nice to see that the love gets spread all over the country ;D ;D I have absolutely zero sympathy. Now imagine if the weather stayed that way for 6 months.
  21. Ok so are there rocks down there that you know about? Most of the time braid snaps on rocks you will feel the fish, go for the hookset, and come up empty handed with just slack line. It does not have to be frayed in order to snap on rocks, they just cut through braid like a razor.

When you are bringing a frog over the pads or dropping a jig or t-rig down it is all about hitting them on the head or a reaction strike. But then again I have not tried JJ's yet.
  23. Are you fishing around rocks? And where did you buy it? 2. I would take either one.
  24. I would have to lean towards Tebow.
