  1. There are swimbait forums dedicated to Northerners. Do a search.
  2. Yup, I usually have a finger on the blank, doesn't matter if I'm using casting or spinning.
  3. Extra fast medium spinning = drop shot, 1/8oz tube, wacky rig Fast Spinning = light weight t-rig, light weight jig, hard jerkbait, fluke(skipping) I use extra-fast with small wire hooks.
  4. Hey, for the Minnesota guys, opening season is not until the 28th of May. How about we postpone the ending just one week; say june 7th? Gives the Minnesotans 3 days, and unfortunately i dont head off there till the 30th. Food for thought. Come on! A few days ago you were saying how great it was up there. What's wrong? Can't catch a nickel in 3 days? lol
  5. None with the Hummingbirds. Just more fish in the boat. lol Truly is amazing. See a rock you never knew was there, cast, fish, ect....
  6. 3-4" of snow and sleet on the roadways, slowly changing to sleet and freezing rain. Every school in the state is closed except mine. Guess I will be taking my own snow day. lol
  7. Yep, as I'm sure you're ok with a lamb skin boot wearing quarterback, a cheating coach and having the dirtiest defensive player in recent memory. Anytown USA, ya got that right. : RAPE / SEXUAL ASSUALT > Uggz
  8. 32. You drive your street bike into bridge abutments. 33. You lock young college girls in bathrooms .... 34. You keep your pimp hand strong while in Lake Tahoe. 35. Someone saying "Hello" to you and going to shake your hand so you take your gum out of your mouth and put it in their hand.
  9. Oh man, I love that. I keep moving in the snow, but I have a 4x4 pickup - much different than a heavy SUV. All the 4wd in an SUV does is get you up your driveway. Ford Exploders are the worst offenders, too, LOL. I'd rather have the SUV actually, pickups are too light in the rear to get good traction. I feel like I shouldn't have to put the car in 4x4 just to back down the driveway without spinning the wheels because of a little snow or ice, and in my mom's Explorer I don't. Can't say the same for either of my dad's pickups ('98 f-150 and 2011 Silverado). That said, I'll take my AWD Subaru in the snow over any of them. Just keep a ton of snow in the back to weigh it down. Helps me out.
  10. I feel a Yankees/Red Sox match brewing. Wake up you Finger Lake smallies from their winter nap and I will bean them in the toe...
  11. Your score is the number from the formula divided by 3. lol
  12. Tin replied to dvdrd423's topic in Fishing Tackle
It is all about presentation and blade choice/color.
  13. It's all how you modify them. :-X
  14. ;D Sorry I had to laugh at that.....That's what bothers me the most. He's lucky he didn't kill anybody including himself. Exactly what I thought. Hopefully he learns a lesson. It is amazing how some people drive in the snow.
  15. 2" on the ground and coming down hard. The commute was awful. I had a Ford Explorer blow by me at about 60 while myself and everyone else was doing about 35-40, about 3 minutes later I had to stop as the same Explorer on its' side with the guy crawling out of the sunroof. dummy....
  16. I disagree. AT&T has more issues than that. I'm a long time Consumer Reports subscriber, and they are always rated really poorly in almost every category in their articles, and that is based on real customer feedback. Here's what their Jan, 2011 mag has to say: AT&T is now the worst carrier. AT&T was the only carrier with scores that dropped significantly in our satisfaction survery of Consumer Reports readers. AT&T is now positioned in last place overall and in almost every market we rate. AT&T scored lowest in almost every respect. My family and just about everyone I know are jumping ship from Verizon to AT&T and T-Mobile because Verizon has been so awful up here lately. :
  17. In RI will become the first state with 2 victories... 8-)
  18. What moving baits do you throw in clear, calm water? Lipless cranks in natural patterns Soft Jerkbaits Paddletails
  19. Even if I had the money I doubt I would spend it on it. Would rather sink money into rods, baits, line, and electronics first.
  20. Frankly, during a three or four day tournament in which you travel back and forth to your hotel completely exhausted then have to re-organize tackle etc., it isn't easy at all. Every little bit of rest is critical to stay sharp. You should try it some time...I bet you'd change your tune. I fish 2 and 3 day tournies a lot, personally, I prefer it to one day events. I find myself reorganizing and playing with gear just out of nervousness. Since I have calmed down. Then again if you do your homework and prefish you should not need to go through that much tackle and such. ;D :
  21. Probably be at home doing homework or at the gym. I doubt I will even watch it. Since the Pats game I have not even been able to watch Sportcenter.
  22. I have not bought something fishing related in about 8 months...
  23. Unless you have a chop or cloud cover I would not throw either a spinnerbait or a swim jib in clear water. There are much better options out there.
