I skipped my 4th period Calc class as a junior in high school and went to Wal-Mart to buy some spinnerbaits. I just so happened to meet the RI BASS Youth Director buying senkos. The next two years I would go to BASS and FLW world championships and finishing in the top 10, won about 25 other t's in the past 4 years and last year won a Bassmaster Weekend Series event on Lake Champlain. Could have really done somethings last year, I qualified for the Weekend Series Regionals but couldn't go because of that dam spider.

Well the Power Ranger / 4 Liters of Fury / Rusty finally blew up and I'm not paying to fix a 1999 Ranger with 185k on it (needs new heads). So I found a 2003 Chevy 1500 with the 4.3 liter vortec, 5 speed manual. regular cab, 4x4, 6 foot bed, with 70k on it, and previously owned by a man with OCD for $6500. Anyone own one or have any input? I am still a full time college student and commute around 40 miles a day so I don't really want/need the V8 and the 4.3 can easily tow an 18 foot glass boat. I want the extended cab but for what is in my range I would be looking at an older truck with a lot more miles.

Branuss could only carry a 14 pound pack? I only see one tent. Kind of like Brokeback Mountain, only you two actually fish too.

That 4.6 has all the coconuts you need to tow a 16-19 foot aluminum or glass without problems.

KVD finishes in the money by.. A. Cranking/Jerking B. Shakey Head fishing C. Spinnerbaiting Ike finishes in the money by junk fishing and using anything necessary to catch fish. I have seen that guy catch fish on swimbaits, using football jigs, tubes, drop-shottting, cranking, worming, flipping and pitching. I think Ike is the better fisherman because he can catch fish on any bait at any time. Where as KVD has just mastered a certain 3 (Kind of like Clunn) bait to catch them.

Wow, must be some super low weights down there if you are winning with fish under 3 pounds... ;D

Mine just came a little while ago and wow, what a stupid stunt. If I remember correctly that isn't Skeeter's recommended on-plane seating instructions. And the camera man isn't even wearing a life jacket. Not to mention I know in most states around here is it illegal to do over head-way speed within 50 yards of shore... What was BASS thinking when they decided to publish this? : ;D

When they first came out I had that problem with a few of them but never after the first couple months.

Then why dont you fish with nothing besides live bluegills? He has a hard time catching those too.

Dont know up there. It is 103.7 in RI and eastern Mass. You might wet yourself when you get it.

I think you should continue to live your "modest" lifestyle. 6 months in either of those two countries is not worth "paying off a little debt, a new truck and new bass boat." Better to be together and just getting by then take that risk.

Mansfield Hollow and Gardiner for the WORST? My club generally fishes one or both of them a year and most come in with limits. Usually nothing amazing but lots of keepers.

No Dairy Queens, Hardee's, Arby's, In n Outs, Sonics, Carl Jrs, Bo-Jangles, Jack in the Box, or anything up here. All we really have are the typical fast food joints.
