Where Are You Finding them in RI/Southern Mass
Ok now that I have more time.... Started at 8am on Beach Pond. Went right to my usual drop-shot spots in 25-35' of water and instantly hooked up with a couple 3 change largies on the first 3 drops on a tree. Then the sun burned everything off and it got bright so I decided to go run shallow with fluke (slick calm, and not a cloud in the sky. wasn't even going to try for a hard bait bite). And just loaded the boat with smallies ranging from 2-3 pounds. I had one that was almost eye-level with me when it came up. Nothing like watching smallies destroy your bait or calm shooting in from 20' away to eat it. Talked to a couple others and they all had smallies first thing in the am and couldn't get anything else going. And there had to be about 14 guys trolling for trout doing the same lap around the lake... :

It's all over folks....
Yup, and people are sick of hearing about the economy. A top story from Thursday that made the first 5 minutes of local news was that the mayor of Providence had his "Earth Friendly" Chevy Tahoe Hybrid keyed outside of his office. :

Wow, very sorry to hear. But I'm sure all will be fine. Good luck

Stanley Cup Playoffs
I just really want to see the Ducks win right now.... I hate west coast games...it is 11:15 here, 14 to go in the second period. And I have to be up at 4:00 to drive an hour and fish a tourney. Starbucks Double Shots will be a necessity.

No one is going to be able to skate with Bruins. The Ducks are just rolling though...

Spinner bait in deep water?
You can burn them under the surface in 35' and have smallies come charging up for it around here.
-
Are you a multi species angler?
Yup, brown fish and green fish....

Yea it has been a jig-fishermans dream when the sun is up and the weather is above 50*. Just throw your jig at anything that gives shade and they are there. Even on the nights it gets colder wait until about 2pm or so and they start to move up. The smallies have all been eating the Smithwick as fast as I can rip it. One thing about this spring has been you don't need to fish slow to catch fish. Note....I actually caught a Lake Trout out of Beach Pond on the CT/RI line from under a dock on a tube. Still can't believe it. I guess they are native in there and are very few left. I just know it definitely wasn't a brook, brown, or bow and was definitely not a salmon. Or so the CT game Worden said... :-/

Super super shallow. Largies are in less than a foot of water when the sun is out. The brownies have been on shallow (less than 3 feet) wind-blown banks. And with the weather this weekend, more will push up.- HEY 5BL...
I know it is going to really warm up over the next few days in the northeast. Will more move up and be willing to eat with the warmer weather?- Flipping mono or braid
Why would you use flouro is the stuff is that heavy down there? If you are flipping stuff that is that heavy there is most likely little light penitration so the line really isn't visible. So why not just go with 50-65 pound braid? It would also be thinner (easier to handle) and more abrasion resistant that flouro. And with braid not being round it will cut through the veggies when setting the hook and winching the fish in. :-?- BPS crankin' sticks on sale for $50.00

WOW, C's are up by 22 at half in Chicago without KG and Powe.- If I Fish It Will They Come?
At 57* the smallies have all ready moved up around here. And if it was 57* last week and you didn't have any cold nights or cold rains those fish should definatley be moving up if they have not all ready. How has the weather been?- HEY 5BL...
20 pounds in a spawn tourney on SML. Go show those boys whats up...- Calling all college students.
I'm sure hookem would remember all that junk. I got up to calc 2 done in high school and I'm very glad I did. I couldn't imagine doing all that calc in 16 weeks. I acctually took calc 3 as a high elective credit. Pre-calc and Calc 1 were the hardest imo. Calc 2 was a little easier and Calc 3 was as easy as Algebra 2 or Geometry imo. It's great when you get a lot of math done early because you can take your higher number elective credits.- Does this make any sense..Please explain
