Clear i would go with a wider wobble because its easier seen for Murky i would go with a tight wobble because they usually wobble faster and make more of a disturbance

Sorry i forgot to give my opinion. I think the rod and the reel are pretty much equally important. the rod gives you the feel for the fish and the reel helps you bring them in without snapping the line.

Whats all the different types of bass you guys have caught. I've only caught largemouth and smallmouth. YOu

I prefer baitcasting reels because they tend to be easier to use and tangle less.

What do you think are some bargain buys for reels and rods??? I think Zebco's are pretty good for their price.

Hey, Just wondering what everyone uses for blue catfish. i usually use hot dogs or bacon on the bottom.

How was the trip???

My largest is a 10 lb channel cat (i've had a couple 30 lb blue catfish but i was fishing for bass when they hit and i only had a 8 lb test line which broke). My most proud fish is a 7 lb largemouth bass i caught up in wisconsin.

I've always wanted to go salt water/shark fishing but have never had time or money.

I just caught 20 perch/bluegill on hotdogs today. I was fishing for about an hour and a half. I also caught two bass (3 lber and 1.5 lber).

Where do you guys fish for those carp?

I've never caught a catfish while bass fishing but they are pretty stupid and will go for anything that looks life food.

I'm interested in making my own tackle but i don't know where to go or what to get or how to do it. Any advice would be appreciated.

I don't know what its called but i twist my line and then thread the line through the hole at the bottom of the twist and tighten it. Then i just tie a normal square knot on top of that.

To me a high priced rod isn't worth it. A rod around $30 is great for everybody execpt the tournament angler or the person with a lot of extra cash.
