  1. I still spool through a Nashville phonebook. But I always start on the left for a few turns. this also seems to "help a little" with casting.
  2. I bought an extreme last year in 6' 6" MH, and Ive been pretty pleased.
  3. Welcome Aboard!!!
  4. I usually fish Percy Priest outside of Nashville. Lately that has been almost bust with a few exceptions. This past weekend I ended up going to Smith Lake in Alabama just to remind myself that the monkey is on my back for a reason. Across the board, most of the guys I talk to are having a hard summer as well. What gives? I sure don't know, but if I find out, this forum will be the first to know.

I wouldn't call myself new to fishing. I would definitely say as a "newbie" to this forum, I have learned a great deal and updated the outdated things I thought I knew. Welcome aboard from another newbie!
  6. My biggest LM of the summer was on a 3/8 oz. white spinner with double willow blades in some pretty stained water. It was about 4 p.m. I would have to agree that more time on the water usually equals more fish.
  7. My first baitcast was a lefty I bought by mistake about eight years ago. I have to say that was a mistake I repeat to this day.
  8. I tried the KVD line spray and found that it works pretty well on preventing memory twist. Just let it dry first (I learned the hard way).
  9. I just switched to Seaguar Invizx in 12 lb. a couple of weeks ago. I have found it to be "virtually indestructible". I believe mono has it's place, I'm just not sure where to put it.
