I have been a Seaguar fluorocarbon fan for a while now but what happened today has made me a customer and fan for life.

I was at a grass/pad infested pond and was pitching texas rigged plastics to thick grass mats and pads. I caught a 6lber and a 4.5lber that freight trained through the thick cover for at least 2 minutes each, not to mention the other 12 keeper size fish, and I never had to retie once nor did ever feel any sign of abrasion or wear. That is one tough line folks!!!!

I was using 15lb Seaguar InvizX, and not only tough but it is extremely sensitive and is the most manageable fluoro I have ever used.

So whenever I think fluoro I will be thinking Seaguar from now on.

I've been using the original for about 8 years now and agree with your description.  I like the new one too.

Yup, I was using the CarbonPro (which is also very good and it is $5 less then InvizX) but the InvizX just blows every other line out of the water.

I'm a huge fan of both.  I caught a 40 lb snapper on invizX and managed to get him to the boat and lifted him out of the water by hand, all the while the bait in his mouth.  I had time to take a picture and had to get scissors and cut the line.

I caught 4 fish in the pads also on carbon pro before I realized I should check my line.  The line felt like sandpaper across my finger tips all the way up to a foot above the knot.

That line is just tough.

Good stuff and I'll stake my money on it.

i have to agree with you guys.invizx rocks.i am not using it for topwater or cranks.i went back to cajun red cast mono for those applications.the extra stretch is good for cranks and the fact that mono floats makes topwaters work better.everything else is invizx.

are you still keeping logs?  I'm hoping you'll share how your catch totals have changed since changing from braid.  You mentioned that when you switched to braid you weren't sure if this year was just slower.... since you changed back mid-year, maybe you have a better feel for the difference (if any) you experienced.

Well, guys, I just got back from fishing one of my favorite all-time ponds...the calvalry run pond...and I am happy to say that after catching 14 fish, including another 4.5lber (pics are on Triton9's phone but will be up soon) I STILL HAVEN'T HAD TO RETIE!!!!

There is still not a hint of abrasion or weakening knot strength, InvizX ROCKS!!!!

I have been using Invizx for almost a year now and this was my first fc line I ever tried.  It was awesome from the get go. I couldn't believe how limp it is. So I agree with your findings, and they have also been mine.

My decision to try SeaGuar came after reading one of LR's recommendations. When I looked for it in my area, the regular seaGuar was not to be found, but Inviszx was so I bought a spool. I am a bit spoiled too. The going price for a filler spool of Invivzx is $12.97. Yee hah!

Do yourself a favor and retie occasionally. Knots experience stress, nicks and wear that you cannot see.

Big fish and big hangs always remind me to retiie my lure.

That was exactly what I was thinking.

Retying needs to become a habit....do it without thinking.

I once lost a 7lbr at the boat in a tourn.........it scarred me.

My Invizx came in last night with my new Trion GX Ultralight reel.

4lb test but I'm just using it for trout or panfish.

Tried it out last night and really liked it. BUT I must have spooled more than 1/8th from the lip because it was falling off my spinning reel at FIRST. Than I cut a good chunk off and had no more problems. Good stuff with hardly ANY memory what so ever. I might add that for the price.......the Trion GX Micro reel is very nice as well. Had some fun with this setup while I was taking a break from fishing the weed beds.

Have any of you used Seguar 100% fluorocarbon or Seaguar braided line (I think it's called Spectrex)? A store near me has both on clearance and I couldn't decide if I should get some.

As far as braid I'm in love with PP but if the Seaguar stuff is decent I'll probably pick some up just to have around.

i actually changed in the beginning of the year and didn't tell anybody.my fish per outing has gone up but only by like 2 fish per outing.i have not gotten skunked with flouro.having used flouro now for.5 months i put mono back on 2 rods for topwater and cranks.i may get another rod and put braid on that for heavy grass only.flouro definately has a place.seguar invizx makes flouro tolerable for those of us who hated flouro.it is absolutely the most abrasion resistant line i have ever seen over rocks.

That is a very good suggestion, I will be sure to retie tonight before I hit the Pamunkey tomorrow morning...Thanks for the reminder RW

I believe P-Line makes the two lines you are talking about...

I have tried the P-line Spectrex but it is no where near as good as Stren super braid IMO, the coating wears off quickly and it gets frayed really bad sometimes. I have used the 100% fluoro and it is a decent line, but after discovering the Seaguar fluoro I am never using another brand...

I use it to crank and on my swimbaits.
