Reelmechanic, is it true you do not touch Abu Garcia low profile? On one page of your website it says you do maintain Abu Garcia and on another it says you don't. I have a Revo SX that has had an issue lately. It mostly happens when I am fishing slow (plastics or jigs). The line guide will reach the far left side and stop but the reel will keep winding line. It also sometimes clicks when it reaches that point. I do maintain my reels, I have tried blowing out the worm gear and re-lubricate with no avail. I want to disassemble the line guide but I am afraid I will not get it back together. My question is, has anybody had this problem or has anybody ever disassembled the line guide? I looked on the reel mechanics website and when you go under charges it says he doesn't do service to Abu Garcia low profile. If he won't touch them, then I have a right to be nervous about taking it apart. I just hope I can figure something out because I really like the reel. :'( Thanks in advance to anybody who can help!

You could also try Spro DAWG 100. I have had some luck with them, although they are expensive.

I agree with Bream, unless it is a weightless Senko/*** worm or Fat Ika. I can cast them weightless on a BC easily. All other weightless presentations are used with spinning gear.

I had a knot slipping problem with braid awhile back. My buddy told me to wet the line before you pull the palomar knot tight. Maybe this is another option, I use 30 pd Stren braid and have not had a problem since he told me this. Hope it helps, good luck!

I was looking at fishing a river down by my house and I see many people that wade. It is almost impossible to fish from shore, so I want to get in there. Can you guys give me some ideas for some chest waders that have suspenders. I don't know much about them, looking for name brands or sponsors that sell them. I am looking in the range of $80-$120. Try different presentations: -Cast, reel slow -Cast, reel fast -Cast, wait 3 sec. reel in -Cast, wait 6 sec. reel in -Cast, wait for it to hit bottom reel in -Cast, stop and reel presentation. Good luck!

I agree with the above, I had the same problem you had at the beginning. I set the brake all the way counter clockwise and worked with it for awhile, while adjusting the spool tension knob. After about 20-30 casts with a 3/8 practice weight I was good to go with the magnetic brake set at about 60%. Good luck, Revo's are really good you shouldn't have a problem with it.

I would love to get a pair of nice glasses but the bait monkey has ruined any chance of this (wife). However I do have a chance of getting a pair of Oakleys cheap with the shallow water polarization. I am leaning that way, armesjr, do you have any opinions on the Oakleys vs. cheap glasses? Thanks again for all the input.

Does anybody know if polarized is polarized? I have some cheap polarized glasses and was wondering if upgrading is a good idea. A buddy wants to sell his polarized Oakley's for fishing cheap. I have seen some for $5.00 and some for $300, but I am not sure if clearity gets better with more money you spend. Any info or opinions are welcome and thanks in advance.

I can not take credit for this, I think Triton21 offered this idea. I asked the same question last week, I have found Tritons idea to be the best. Take a lid off your butter container an use a hole punch and cut a few out. Put the hook on followed by one of the lid cut outs. Love it! Good luck!

I have been very pleased with the Cavitron buzzbait. I have four of them and the all have notches on them. I wish Bobby all the luck, try one you won't be dissapointed!

I write what they do on the bottom cavity of the Plano box. I had the same problem before, good luck!

Thanks guys. I used it last night on a buzzbait (caught a couple on the trailor) after about a 1/2 hour of casting the trailor hook was gone. :'( I will have to try what Triton21 said. P.S. Man are Buzzbaits awesome, gets your heart rate going!!!!
