Girlfriend Complaining About My Fishing...
My wife used to act like that and now we have agreed that so long as her honey do list is taken care of she is fine with me fishing as much as I want. Just sit down and discuss it with her I am sure the two of you can work it out.

Tackle boxes
I just bought the "XPS Stalker Tackle Bag on Wheels" from Bass Pro Shops. It holds 5 370 boxes and it also has numerous storage compartments. It can be carried, worn as a backpack or pulled from behind like a suitcase. This is a really sweet tackle box and I am now more organized than I ever was before.

Four Northern Virginia Bass Resource Members... and some fish!
Wanye, they did not want our vehicles parked in their parking lot. I don't know who the company was that owned the property (there are multiple companies surrounding the pond) or else I would have asked. They did not get upset with us they just politely asked us to leave their parking lot and we did. The other locations had no problem with us parking or fishing their ponds. The security guard even waved to us and watched us land a few.

Four Northern Virginia Bass Resource Members... and some fish!
Good report as always Jay. I had a really good time fishing with everyone as well and hope to have another get together again soon. To bad we were asked to leave the first pond, I have a feeling that place has some hawgs in it just based on what we were seeing in the 1 hour that we fished it. We will have to park on the other side of the pond next time so we can fish it again. We just learned that you can't park in a government contractors parking lot. We still have another 4 or 5 ponds that we spotted today that we need to check out and see how the fishing is. Andy and Dan don't forget to let me know what your schedules are like so we can get out on the Potomac one day.
- pretty nice 'un today

First time fishing during the spawn
I have read that salamanders work really well because Bass are afraid they will eat the eggs. I have some in my tacklebox and I will have to try these next time.

dont understand what he was thinking
I had similar luck tonight although I did finally get the female to strike my bait three times. She caried it a few feet away, I set the hook she fought a little and then threw the bait, a YUM crawfish. I have since remembered that the best bait to throw in the bed is a salamander. I had to throw that craw repeatedly at the bed before the female got mad enough to strike.

First time fishing during the spawn
I went out to a local pond in my are and saw numerous bass on beds. I decided to try and see if I coulld land one of the big females. Man it is really tough to get them to strike. After dropping the bait right on top of her and in front of her numerous times she finally took it and then fought for a minute and threw the bait. She did this three times in about a three hour period before I finally gave up. I guess fishing beds is really tough and I still have a lot to learn. The male would not even think about hitting the bait but he sure was chasing away all the bluegills.
