  1. Anything above 4.8 feet is unsafe for wading. Jay keep your fingers crossed that the water levels receed a bit today or tonight. If not we will be fishing for LMBs instaed of bronzebacks. 10:55 AM I just checked and it s at 4.39 Feet 4:30 PM I just checked and it is at 4.39 Feet.
  2. I checked the reports a few minuites ago and this morning the reports show the water level at 4.36 feet which is still in the safe (green) range, yesterday they were at 3.4 feet. The safe range is water levels from 3.5 to 4.8 feet. I just hope the water levels don't rise to much more today.
  3. Does anyone know what the impact of all this rain is on the water levels at Pony Pasture? Yesterday the levels were 3.4 feet which is safe for wading. I am hoping to wade there tomorrow if the water levels are still in the safe range.
  4. I have caught a 25lb catfish and an 8.5lb long-nosed gar with them. I have seen the chatterfrogs catch some serious lmbs first hand last Sunday.
  5. Now that was funny.
  6. I have good luck on plastics and I have probably caught more bass on plastics than any other bait.
  7. Glad to hear you had a good time with the family, that is the most important thing. Thank you for serving in our military and for protecting our freedom. Stay safe.
  8. I have had good luck with Carolina Lunker Sauce and Baitmate. I may have to try the one's that Kent has metioned.
  9. Nitro, just let me know when you want to go. I have another comp day that I need to take before the end of the month.
  10. Nice catch, looks to be a few pounds.
  11. Swim Senkos Manns -1 Gitzit Tubes
  12. I am always up for a challenge Nitro.
  13. In addition to the choices above I would consider throwing a Manns -1 and running over the top of the hydrilla.
  14. Good job Nitro, nice hawg

I used to feel the same way until my buddy kicked my behind fishing with these last Sunday.

The one my buddy was using is green and orange and the trailer actually looks like real frog legs. He was throwing them at the edge of the pads and reeling in at a steady pace back to the boat.

Last Sunday morning I asked a buddy of mine if he wanted to go fish one of my favorite spots and he seemed like he didn't want to go but decided to anyways. When we got out to the location he ties on a chatterfrog and starts throwing them and he starts pulling in LMBs almost every other cast. He boated over 20lbs in a matter of a couple of hours. Needless to say I could not keep up with him, I ended up with only about 5lbs, I got my but kicked in one of my favorite spots. After we got back home I cleaned up the boat and went out and bought some. I have never had luck with chatterbaits but my buddy proved they work pretty sweet in the right locations. I will be going back there next weekend and trying these out for myself, I hope to have the same success that he did.
  19. Sorry to hear about the tragedy. We always wear our PFDs on the water when the boat is moving and when the water is rough if we are anchored.
  20. She is still a hottie.
  21. Nice fish, congrats on the hawg.
  22. Jay, I had a blast and can hardly wait for our next smallie trip. I just wish one of us hooked that trophy smallie that we saw near the brush, he had to be 5 lbs.
  23. Celtics in 7, this is Boston's year.
  24. Basschump, sorry to hear about all you have been through. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. If I had a spare trolling motor I would send it to you. Things will get better, hang in there. I hope you reconsider giving up fishing. If you are ever in the Washington DC area I will take you out and you will catch some bass. Ron
  25. Nice smallies
