  1. Jeez- only 10? That's a tough one, but here i go... Kinami flash, home-assembled spnrb8,Bandit flat maxx,Norman dd22,Rebel deep wee-R,Bomber longA,Rapala deep shad rap, Rogers'1/4 oz alphabet,60's Cotton Cordells hot spot (knocker-not rattler),3"berkley minnow(drop shot).
  2. I hate buzzbaits! Can't get a bite on one. Spinnerbaits, now those i love. I carry about 20 of them, assembled by me, in the blade combos that work for me. I can't even remember the last time i bought a spnrb8.
  3. Although i have many colors that stay home, i now only bring Kanami's white/chartruese, or a white Senko in the 4-5" size, and T-rig them.
  4. Swimbait? What is a swimbait... a 12" soft plastic trout, or a 3" boot-tailed shad with a built-in weight? Up here in the clear waters of the Detroit area, about the only time i'll use a swimbait is when there are no clouds or wind. I find that rattling cranks just make too much noise under these conditions. I'll try a silent crank first, but usually end up throwing a 4-6" swimbait around the deep weeds. My favorite is a 6" double-jointed Storm whatever they call it. (too many lures on the market to remember all their names).
  5. A hook, and then a disc of bicycle innertube that was punched with a paper hole puncher thing.
  6. Hey Tacoman - Munkin is right...it doesn't matter what kind of paint you use, just coat it with Devcon - 2 ton. This past winter i started to repaint some of my old or new-ugly cranks and jerks , and tried spinnerbait heads too. It works great and now i paint my my drop shot & worm weights also.
  7. In michigan, all of the lakes i fish are clear (at least 6'), but i would like to try some stained shorelines for a change. It seems to me that it would be hard to find cover & structure when you can't see 3' below the surface. I don't know how you southern folk can find bass, unless you fish shoreline cover all the time.
  8. oakland co., mich. most trips less than 6hrs. since '99 ave. 4.13 lm/sm,1.16 pike per trip. catch 1 keeper (14") per 8 bass (about the same for a legal pike (24")
  9. Anytime bass fishing is on tv is fine with me. Both circuits do a good job, but FLW wastes too much time on anglers and not the fishing. Personally, i don't care where so & so is from, but i'd like to see him (or her) landing fish instead of a tour about town.
