I was told yesterday the combo comes with the HS reel.

This reel looks like it'll take off by itself!
I have a KVD spinning reel and the previous model of the KVD baitcaster. I have been very happy with both. No issues. It does have a lot of bling but I'll give one a try.

Storm Wiggle Wart?
I use the sub wart on ponds and small lakes and it has been a killer. It has a very wide action. The smaller of the subwart cathes bass and crappie. It is great when things are slow I need something to hit to keep me going !!!

Ok...this is the craziest priced lure ever...
This auction is about collecting, not about fishing. Ebay sets the market for just about everything now days. If your not a collector of the item being sold ( comic books, lures, guitars, art ), have little or now value to you. I have a collection ( not of lures ) and I don't expect many people to understand why and how much I pay for the items. I say good for the winner. There were 11 bids and the starting price was .99. He got what he wanted.

Favorite Crankbait Rod?
I only have used one crankbait rod. It is a Daiwa Light and Tough. I really like it but have nothing to compare it too. I can say that using a crank specfic rod has help my crankbait fishing.

which of these two reels for a newbie bait caster?
I just starting using baitcasters this summer. I bought a C4 4600. Great reel, easy to use, not too many bells and whistles. I think I paid around $60 for it new. I have zero regrets in that choice. I have since bought a Citica and a couple Revo SC. I still find my 4600 just a enjoyable to use. One thing that helped me was the narrow spools were easier to use when I was starting out.

Bass Pro vs. Cabelas
My quick 2 cents on BPS vs Cabelas. I love my XML rods and my Revo SC ( if that counts ), but when I wanted a drop shot rod I had to go with the Woo Daves model. Great rod for the money. I have been very happy with both both house brands. If your not hung up on one brand you can assemble and nice quiver for a great values using both places.

Hummingbird Smartcast
I bought one about three weeks ago at Dicks ( 59.99 ). Mine works great. Only problem was the orginal battery died after one day. Replacement battery has worked fine. Being a shore bound angler it has been a great help. First thing I did was hit all my favorite ponds and small lakes and gt a depth reading and see if there was any structure. I have the wrist one and if I go to a new place I'll tie on the green float and walk around the area I'm fishing and make mental notes of depth, structure and contour. You can easily out cast the range of the sensor but it still works well in the 50-75 ft range. One other thing I do now is I turn the watch part so it is on the inside of my wrist. Eaiser to read as I crank it in.

End of summer VIDEO (Bass Brothers)
Great job, reminds me of my youth. I can only hope my son takes to the 'simple' pleasures in life. So far so good !!!

Name 1 thing you learned
Could not even come close to naming things I have learned, too many to list. Like Lineman I have have been out of bass fishing for 20 years. Now thanks to my 5 years old sons joy of fishing I'm back and ready to roll. Jigs and soft platic advice has been off the charts !!! I hope to get my chance next year to get use of a boat and put some more of the great advice to work !! One last thing, I participate in many internet communities ( music, guitar, golf ) and this board has one of the best membership groups out there. Very little flaming , just good constructive advice. Thanks to all !!

What do you use for Tackle Storage?
I use this box also. The only problem I have is that fat cranks won't fit. I have a couple big wiggle warts that don't fit in the grooves. BTW, I have had no issues with the latches.

Drop shot request
I read the article and it contradicts what I have read in other places about rod action. The article says He goes on to say that you want a rod simliar to a crankbait rod. Every drop shot rod I see is listed as a fast or exta fast. I have never drop shotted and I'm just looking for some clarification before I make a purchase thanks !!

anything you enjoy as much as fishing or more
Playing live in front of people with the band is one of my favorite. Cycling is still my numer one thing. Nothing clears the mind like a couple hour ride thru the country. Fishing with my kids if rapidly rising to the top of my list !!!!

TD Frog rod question -- plus a thanks to all !!!
My first post, Hello to all !! First I want to say thanks for all the great info provided on this forum. I'm new to 'power' bass fishing. Been an ultralight guy my entire life. All of you here have been a great help in me getting the correct equipment for job at hand. After reading a number of posts I decided to get a team Daiwa Frog rod. After a trip to BPS ( out of stock, no delivery date in computer ) and Cabels ( no longer are stocking TD rods) I was empty handed. I did find a TD 7-6 telescopic heavy flipping rod in the Cabelas bargain cave so i picked it up. My question is will 10 vs 7 guides ( frog rod has 10 ) and the 3 inch less in length make a big difference ?? Do i still need to consider getting a the frog rod or am I covered. Thanks for the help, I still very new at this and feeling my way around.
