  1. I bought a box of firewood from Wal-Mart (I live in the suburbs and can't just go out and cut down trees) and the box actually had a warning on it that is basically the same as the lead warning on fishing stuff. Something to the effect Per the State of California, burning the contents of this box has been shown to cause cancer.
  2. A search here will produce the answers to many of your questions. Big-O (the inventor of the Rage Tail line) is an active member here who has provided tons of good info.
  3. They work really well in the waters that I fish.
  4. That's a sad day for that lake. :'(
  5. Loans mature on 12/31/11 and accrue interest of LIBOR (min 2%) + 3%. Treasury receives 122 Million stock warrants with an excercise price of $3.57.
  6. I actually agree with you on this.

What kind of clips were you using? When I went salmon fishing on Lake MI the charter guide used clips a lot. If you can catch kings without straightening them then you'll be able to catch a bass without straightening one. Buy quality high test clips (at least higher than your line rating) and you won't have any issues. Don't use swivels snaps though.
  8. I use my spare spools. I've got one with braid and one with mono and switch between the two depending upon what I'm fishing. Then again, I only have 2 spinning combos and 2 casting combos and I also don't like to respool my line just to switch between mono and braid. If anyone has any extra spools that would fit a Shimano Symetre (don't tell anyone but I also have a President) let me know and I'll take 'em off your hands. I'd like to spool some flouro up too.
  9. Isn't the first part of your post saying that the gov't should be more involved and then the second part is saying they shouldn't be involved? :-? It looks to me like your post is contradicting itself. Tyrius, He's saying that the government should keep their noses out of this mess. He's obviously a Capitalist, not a Socialist. But, since our government is acting Socialistic, the very least the government can do is make the companies they choose to help out be accountable. I realize that. However, the gov't's mandating of exec pay only applies to those financial institutions where the gov't has provided SUBSTANTIAL capital funding (much, much more than they have provided to GM). Banks that have not received this funding are still free to pay what they want. I see this as the same as the gov't scrutinizing GM. I thought his post was saying that they should be handled differently.

  11. Fixed it for you. Wish it were that easy!! : What is difficult about correcting statements that are not factual?

They are great trailers when you want tons of action. Durability seems good. I haven't used mine a ton, but I did catch my PB on a jig with a RT chunk as the trailer. Pacas are good too.
  13. So, you're trying to imply that the relatively minor amount of water that is used to spray line and lure on your line is going to have any measurable effect that would be greater than submersing said line directly in the water?
  14. Nope. I don't think that this incident will cost him $100 million in endorsements or really anywhere near CLOSE to that amount.
  15. No fair adding to your post while I was responding!!! BTW, the second article says he'll make $100 million in endorsements over his life. For Skippy to be right that would mean that he would lose ALL of his endorsements.
  16. Not really. He's an American Olypmic swimmer. 10 days after the Olympics were over half of America already forgot about him and won't care about him until 6 months before the next Olympics. Everyone else you mentioned is a star in a MAJOR American sport that has national TV exposure every year. Swimming most certainly does not belong in the same breath. Plus, I find it very hard to believe that anyone's going to be paying a 50-70 year old Phelps to sell anything.
  17. What's skip bayless know about this? Phelps isn't going to lose much if any sponsorships because of this. He isn't going to be punished by the IOC because he isn't currently in competition therefore is not subject to testing. It's basically over and done with like the non-issue that it really is.
  18. I'm going to have to increase my withholdings to 9 this year!!! I hate loaning the gov't money, but can't seem to get my withholdings high enough!!!
  19. Trilene XT 8lb is what I use on my 2500 symetre for soft plastics, small jigs, and spinnerbaits. I like it. I also have sufix braid on the spare spool. The knot problems will probably be fixed with practice in tieing them and not in a change of line. The tangles may be due to how you're spooling your line and/or the types of lures that you're using (inline spinners cause big time line twist).
  20. From wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Menthol_cigarette Fixed it for you.
  21. Yeah, the broken lip issue is one that some Rapalas had. As far as I know it has been fixed. It's the pulling the lips out issue that I've never heard of.
  22. Big-O should take a look at that stick bait rage craw combo. That looks sweet!!
