  1. holy crap thats a lot of hooks...
  2. I have a Revo SC, i use it on my worm and jig rod
  3. Gamma Edge is probably my favorite... pricey could be an understatement though
  4. Once i feel the hit, i drop the tip, reel the slack and set the hook right away. Perhaps your O-ring is too big?
  5. I use a cabelas advanced angler backpack. Its very convienient for me as I do a lot of shore fishing. I can tie a lure on and move constantly quickly without the fuss.
  6. I'm a fireline hater... I used fireline crystal and hated it
  7. The St. Croix Avid AC66MF has a soft tip. This is my all-around rod for treble hook lures, buzzbaits ans spinnerbaits, but it really shines working topwater and jerkbaits. 8-) By input from the forums, I meant input from roadwarrior...
  8. I like throwing heavier shaky heads, usually 1/4 oz bagley or the spot remover
  9. No. 1 fav- Bomber model A in brown craw
  10. i was standing in your shoes about a month and a half ago... after getting some input from the forums, i went with a custom made 6'6" mf st croix avid
  11. S I G M A replied to MN Basser's topic in Fishing Tackle
right now my most productive technique is fishing a shaky head worm fast in rip rap
  12. Very true... I was at dicks today and they had some berkley power shaky worms at 25% off. There wasn't too many left when i got there, and none left after i checked out
  13. I've seen that on tv... they've pulled up some HUGE catfish... i would never want my whole arm in a catfish that big
  14. I find some older bomber model a's in the bargain bin at walmart sometimes. I'll usually buy those and swap out the trebles... but thats to the extent of it. I don't ever touch those soft plastics, as I don't need to clutter up my tacklebox with more soft plastics that i won't ever get around to using
  15. I usually change line when the spool gets low. It also depends on the type of line and how much it is... I'll leave a spool of gamma edge on for much longer than an old spool of yo-zuri hybrid...
  16. i keep mine at two usually. i guess my thumb needs more education :-[
  17. well... considering i'm in wisconsin, we get our good share of cool water. i'll keep that in mind
  18. i tried the zero setting on a revo s... backlashed out probably at least 50 yds of line
  19. Don't waste your money..Anyone who pays more than $10.00 for a lure has rocks in their head. The x-rap in olive green will catch fish anywhere in the country. ya... but i had that mentality when i was deciding whether to get my first st croix avid... but i can't say i have any regrets
  20. yep... just taking the advice of roadwarrior...
  21. The one i'm having made for me is a 6'6" MF casting on a st. croix avid blank with spiral wrap and a split grip... i will hopefully have it within a week. I'm so excited... ;D
  22. i keep them in their original packaging and just throw them in a separate compartment of my tacklebox
  23. I've seen them as well in the bin at cabelas... thats where i will be searching for them
  24. i'll probably start using it in small streams that i wade in... then if i snag it i can just walk up and pull it out
