I have 3 veritas and 1 vendetta and I don't think there is a better rod for the money. I build custom rods for fun and have a hard time building that good of rods for 100 bucks.

Excellent choice with the P95. My first 9mm was a P85 back in 1992. I shot bowling pin matches with it and never had a problem. The P95 is supposed to be even better. Good luck with it. As far as defense rounds, I would use a quality hollow point. Which ever brand your gun feeds the best.

Just picked up a Ruger SR9c after renting one at the range. After the first 5 rounds I was hooked. I have large hands and long fingers and it has been a struggle to find something comfortable and concealable.

Red fish and snook, yes. Bass, not so much. Lake Tarpon - about 30 min away - not much bank access and tough sledding even if you know it well. Pinellas County (St Pete) and Hillsbourough County (Tampa) are both thin on the freshwater lakes. Polk County (Lakeland / Winter Haven) is where you want to be. If you are serious about bass fishing in Florida in March then you need to be on Toho or Kissimmee. Both are about 2 hours away and can be the best spawn fishing in the world. I have run this for the past few years and we have had a few dead beats join the game but 99.9% of this has gone perfect. Other members made up for the losers and sent out additional gifts. The problems came from members under 18 and/or and less than 200 meaningful post. I think everyone that has participated in this would say it was fun. At least I have not heard any complaints that we not immediately corrected.

Ricky started with my spots last year and has done better than I ever did (on my spots). He probably has the most current info on Harris.

Matt, pick a lake that you "think" you know really well. Then I will come up and take you on a tour with my 1198 Si. You will be forced to buy one. I saved almost 2 years to be able to afford the "big" one and it was worth it.

Taylor and I went to the range together for the first time today. She started on a S&W 22LR and finished up with a P95 DC 9mm. This was her first time with a firearm and all 50 rounds of the 22 hit paper from 25 and 50 feet. She wanted to try the 9. Her first shot hit the paper but was followed by "holy crap" The next few missed at 25 feet until we got her sight picture straightened out. The last 20 rounds hit the silhouette at 25 feet.
