Mudhole was awesome about it. They overnighted 2 more the next day and told me to keep the pieces. They did not even want pictures.

Way to go UPS 2.0
Fed Ex is TWICE as good. They managed to break a pvc tube in two directions all in 90 miles. It was 2 mud hole custom blanks.

your first experiences
Here is my first I can still smell the 2 stroke burning in the morning air. Join a club fish as a non-boater take 3 rods your 6 favorite lures a camera life jacket lunch and have fun Don't worry about catching fish, just enjoy the moment. There will be plenty of time to obsess over 14 rods, a wheelbarrow full of lures and whether or not your boater was a moron while you are getting ready for your 2nd tourney.

A question for Muddy
I know you did not ask me, but, I like him too. I like his Frank and Christmas music the best. His original stuff is, well, is original and a little odd sometimes. Overall he is a great musician and you guys should have a great time.

Need advice for Florida, first weekend of Jan
He will know. I see him a lot at Johns Lake and I have caught several over 8 out of there. But just about anywhere in Fl gives you a shot at a biggun.

What does our future hold in America?
Exactly! One thing that I find myself saying more and more is, "I wish is was like when I grew up". Then I realize how dumb that really is. The reason free markets survive is their ability to grow and change. This economy is changing and will be growing again soon. The structure of societies change as the economy changes. The problem is that as humans WE don't like all the changing and growing. Everyone needs to settle down and get ok with the changes in our society. While it is nice to reminisce about the "good ole days", being stuck in the 60's will not allow you to prosper in the NOW. Look around your house and identify what you have that was not even available to consumers 30 years ago. Compare your standard of living to your parents when they were your age. I think if you do this honestly you will see the incredible growth that has happened and understand that a correction was long over due. Things are never as bad as they seem at the time. Have a little patience. See if you can find a little faith. And remember, no matter how bad you think it is, you still would not trade it for anywhere else in the world. That is the little pep talk I give myself. I'm not a historian, economist, sociologist or any "ist" for that matter. I choose to look at things that way based on the way I was raised and my life experiences.

Bass patterns in FL
Lake Gibson, if it rains, would be my first choice. Right now I can't get my boat in because of the low water levels. Mud Lake is also down and I don't like it anyway, so that's fine with me. Agnes is down also but is the easiest of the 3 to fish in low water levels. The grass line and docks just north of the ramp have always produced the best for me. There is also a deep hole near the interstate. If I get a chance I will fish it around xmas and see what is going on. PM me in a few weeks and remind me. I'm getting old...

What does our future hold in America?
Every time this country has faced adversity we have come back better and stronger than we were before. I am confident this will happen again, soon.
