  1. As stated, I am looking for assistance with the design of a logo for a company I am a part of. Please reply in a PM. Thanks
  2. That is a nice rod rack. It would turn into a drying rack in my apartment.
  3. The internet is great for expediting the learning process, and a big time killer!
  4. What water are you fishing? It is possible there just are very very few larger fish? This water could have a limiting factor. Depending on things like water chemistry, amount of food, size of food, and habitat. Some waters just wont have many bigger fish...
  5. I have fished the BFL's before, and will be again next year after my hiatus. You will have both good and bad experiences, but I believe good will outweigh the bad. I would suggest if you like the first tournament commit to them all with the making the regional your goal. BFL's are a nice entry level price to the competitive fishing world.
  6. Holy Beard... http://www.worldbeardchampionships.com/ What was the weight on the slob fish?
  7. That is very wishful thinking. It would be nice for something good to come out of this debacle. I think it all has been handled very poorly. I blame a lot on the media.
  8. The only punishment that is beneficial in anyway is the money going to charity. The punishments don't solve any problems or prevent anything. I look at it more as a criminal case, not a NCAA matter. I don't think Penn State should just sit there and be a punching bag either. It makes them look even worse. As a result of just being a punching bag; organizations such as the NCAA take a whack without purpose.
  9. Is it Penn State or select individuals? So now you go from the school to Pennsylvania with the insults? Very interesting. I understand you have strong feelings as do we all, but try not to act like a bigot.
  10. I wonder if the deadly shooting in CO will be talked about as long as what happened at Penn State? I think many have looked at PSU as a place that had great traditions, a well respected school, and overall a very desired appeal. I think that is a large part of the media firestorm and being the talk of the nation. I can't help to think that there is a separate agenda by many being backed by the acts that had happened. My opinion is that the NCAA was out of line.
  11. Is there anywhere to download or stream them online?
  12. Beltzville can be a tough lake to fish, but there are very nice fish to be had. I can give you some spots if you would like. Do you fish from a boat or bank? Rock Hill can be fun.
  13. I grew up in Palmerton... Crazy world. Welcome! You have some good bassn water in your neck of the woods. The Walnutport canal has some nice bass, Mauch Chunk holds some big smallies and largies, and Beltzville has solid fish.
  14. I just use the tube the silicone comes in to apply it. I use a fair amount, but still make sure the frog can easily be compressed and decompressed.
  15. Well as stated the koppers as well as the river 2 sea don't sink as easily. For the others, I just use silicone and partially seal the hole where the hook comes out. You want to make sure they the frog compresses easily after you apply silicone. The silicone usually holds up for awhile, but I will have to reapply periodically.
  16. Is it real, and can it be a problem?
  17. It will vary depending on where your fishing. Are you fishing rivers, streams, or lakes? If all I had was a rapala CD-5 in silver/blk, trout magnets, and rooster tails I would catch trout just about anywhere.
  18. I have had the best luck with Koppers Hollow Body and River 2 Sea Bully Wa. They don't take on as much water as my Spro's. I always need to doctor the Spro's up.
  19. The catfish probably has one of three things. As stated they could have something blocking their digestive system, the fish could have worms, it could have a disease or illness.
  20. These setups will highly vary on what you prefer. Do you prefer spinning or casting? Spinnerbait- 7' MH Fast - You want something a little heavier that will cast far and have the power to pull fish out of veg. Trebel Hook Lures (Crankbaits, topwaters, etc.)- 6'6 or 7' M Fast- Good all around for throwing various trebel hooked lures. Worms or Jigs- MH Fast/Extra Fast- You want something that you can have the backbone with to drive the hook. Frog- 7'+ Extra Fast- You want a long heavy rod to pull fish out of slop. You also want a fast tip to work hollow bodies. If the tip is sloppy you wont get the proper action. Dropshot/Lightweight Applications- 6'6-7' spinning or light casting rod- med fast This is somewhat vague, but should give you somewhat of an idea. I have a few different cranking rods for shallow/medium and deep cranks. When you get further into it you will specialize and realize what your looking for. This in my opinion is a decent very generalized list. Gear ratio of the reel I use anywhere from a 5.4:1 to a 7:1. Crankbaiting I use a 5.4:1, but I could go a little faster and slow my retrieve. Any technique you want to take line up quickly you want a fast ratio (Jigs/Worms/Frogs/Punching/Buzzbait, etc). I can try to go into more detail if you provide with exact baits, price range, so on and so forth.
  21. Thanks Dwight! I live in Pittsburgh now, and you may have someone following you to the boat launch from time to time... Don't be alarmed, it will just be me. I see your still catching those piggy smallmouths.
  22. Well, It's been quite awhile since I have viewed, or posted. Yesterday I viewed the forum after quite a long hiatus. I viewed some fishing trip posts as well as a discussion on cavitron buzzbaits (which later proved to be useful!). I decided to leave work early pack up the kayaks and spend an evening on the water of Lake Arthur. I started in a lilly pad cove by the beach area. Within about minutes I had hooked and lost my first fish on a G-Splash in Char Shad. I continues to fish for quite a few hours with no fish. I then decided to come back to the lilly pad cove where I had the most production (One bite and loss!). I fished a zara spook jr in bone for 15-20 minutes, then I decided to throw on a Black Skirt Gold Blade Cavitron buzz bait. I have fished it in heavy cover before, but not like I did this night. I fished it in fairly thick lilly pads. I would rip it threw and when it would land in an opening the bass would pounce on it. It was a very cool reaction bite. I ended up catching 8 LM. Biggest just shy of 2lb's. It was just a good time... Much needed after so long. Sorry no pictures... Next time!
  23. I'm sorry I should have been more specific. I am more talking about the tournament jersey's in this case.
  24. I have never understood why people advertise for free, and then when they pay to advertise it really makes me laugh.
  25. I got it. No it's not for software, its for a discount. It was just written so I didn't know which letters and numbers they meant.
