Better Stock Up On Beer & Pop Tarts!
Kent I don't think it is appropriate to tell people to stock up on beer and pop tarts. This is a family forum and young kids may be listening to this advice. You as a moderator should be a role model....bahahahaha

fisheries
Mike I went through the same thing, but my situation was even worse than yours. I started as business management which would cover a huge range of jobs and went to fisheries science, because I felt like it was a great fit for me. Honestly unless you have an in at a golf course I would think you would have a better shot at a job in fisheries science. If you decided to go into fisheries science you better be willing to move to another area or a whole other state. I'm not sure how your curriculum is set up and if you took a ton of major courses or just general. You could probably take another whole semester and think about it if you wanted to. Take gen ed classes while your thinking about it. One bit of advice... Do well in college don't do what I did and party 4 years away with a low GPA. If you go into fisheries you would ultimately want a higher degree from a BA. Also get involved and meet people. Get with your local fisheries and try to get internships anywhere possible. In this field experience is key. PA has a hiring freeze on fisheries positions including internships so I am actually volunteering time working with them to try to get an in and meet people. Networking is one of the most important techniques to learn. I could probably talk a lot about this subject. Hopefully I didn't ramble too much. If you want to talk pm me and I will send you my phone number. I will try to tell you as much as I know and my view on fisheries.

Sleep Advice
Good advice guys. Fivebass I would love staying in hotels or camping more if I could afford it. I will probably try that melatonin next time. If I ever have to work night shift i'm screwed. I just can't fall asleep before 11 or 12 am at the earliest.

Sleep Advice
I have major sleeping disorders when it comes to tourney preperation and travel. The majority of the time I leave between 12am-2am to travel to either prefish or for the tourney. I try to go to sleep around 6-7pm and it never works. I don't know what to do. I end up getting 1-2 hours of sleep then drive 5 hours then fish all day and just about fall asleep while driving home. This drives me crazy and makes it tough to concentrate in the tourney. Sleeping pills don't put me down any advice?!?

Hey man if you are going fishing in the next couple weeks give me a call. I would like to come to spruce run and meet you to do some fishing.Hopefully you want to play guide on spruce run. Your licenses are a lot cheaper then Pa's. Maybe you could meet me at a walmart or something so we don't have to pay for two vehicles to enter the park.

USA TODAY Coaches Poll
I am with you on hoping they don't choke. Lets see if we can keep the program clean this year. Going to be hard being that we are the #1 party school in the country! According to who? Oh, and don't get me wrong, I'd love to see VT up there but I don't think the ACC has been very good lately so I don't think winning the conference should get you in the top 10. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=penn+state+%231+party+school&aq=f&oq=&aqi=

fizzing bass
Actually, along with Dough Hannon the people who put that video together are two of the best in the business of keeping fish alive. One is a Scientist who specializes in Aquatic Chemicals for fish and the other is a Biologist who's one of the top authorities on the subject of fish health and keeping fish alive. They have years and years of personal research and study to pull from. I don't think they would tell us how to fizz a fish if it killed them. It's all about doing it right. I agree with you that they are some of the best in the business and also that they wouldn't steer us wrong. You should know how it is in the scientific field there is ALWAYS conflicting information. I am not trying to put them down and I have fizzed fish already and it does save them, but I am wondering if it is merely a temporary fix.

fizzing bass
I have read many scientific articles through my college Internet journal library that fizzing a bass is actually very detrimental to its health. I can't really go into detail too much about it, because I just don't remember all of the facts they stated.

Need for spinning gear?
I am getting to the point where I don't even use a spinning setup. Is there a legit use for spinning gear that you wouldn't feel comfortable doing on a baitcaster? How many of you stick to using only baitcasters?

Guided trip on the chunk with Muddy
I got to the chunk a little early while waiting for muddy I decided to throw a spook and caught two pickerel from shore. Muddy came we got the boat ready and hit the water. Throughout the day fish were caught on cranks, trick sticks, and spooks. There was a casualty on the day. While smacking the weeds of his crank muddy broke the lip on his favorite crankbait. Sorry for the lack of pictures, but we forgot our wide angle lens for the monster fish. It was definitely a day to remember. I am still laughing from the stories and jokes told throughout the day.

cash for clunker
My parents used the program. They traded in a Ford Windstar with 140k on it. It was my towing vehicle >. It was hardly a clunker. It was in good shape and would have been good for another couple years. They got a 2009 escape.
