  1. Heh! I am from Rhode Island and fall has arrived here to. I'm no expert, but here's something that worked for me this week: Rocks sticking out of the water obviosly absorb heat. The water arounf the rocks stays fairly war. The fish tend to hang around them. I read this last week in one of the Bass magazines. I caught a 3.5 lb. LM using a Fleck spinner bait fishing a rock pile. It worked for me .Good Luck, bassinajr

Sorry LBH...the folks here thought you could help me. They said you were from RI Alan
  3. Heh all!! I appreciate the advice the other day about fishing in REAL DIRTY water. I tried all of your suggestions and had a few hits, but no fish boated. This pond is very strange!! Here's what I encountered: (maybe you guys/gals can give me some further help!!) My fihing buddy and I fished as close to structure as physically possible....nothing. What we did discover is that the fish are VERY close to the shoreline (12"-18") in brush, down tree limbs, overhanging trees, normal bass areas, right? WRONG these fish are all in places you just can't get a lure to. Even flippin a lure into these places was hell. Lost alot of tackle. I am no bass pro but I have never seen bass in any pond act(??) like this. All the open places you would think there would be bass...nothing. Let me know what you folks think Thanks in advance Alan bassinajr
  4. Heh all, I am fishing in a fall bass tournament on 10-28-07 and the pond we will be fishing on has visability of about 6"!!! No kidding 6". I can't imagine even bothering with plastic baits, but that's why I am here. This is my first tournament and I don't want to get blanked. Any advice on fishing this kind of water??? Thanks bassinajr
  5. Hello all... First post..trying out the forum.. I live and fish in Rhode Island. We have had NO RAIN in over a month and the main fishin holes are 3-6 feet below normal water level. Other than using this time to spot the normally underwater structure (which I,m doing) any ideas on fishin in these low water conditions? I fished the grass topss yesterday..nothing. Spinner baits...nothing. I'm thinking drop shots thorugh the grass??? Any ideas??? thanks!! bassinajr
