  1. taylor swift makes me want to kick leprichans and rip the horns off of unicorns. -gk
  2. I'll be honest, this "music" sucks. -gk
  3. $100 bucks will get a lot of duck tape, wd 40, and obsurdely sized hammers. Also, look into some sort of awesome belt buckle. I have one from monatna silversmiths that looks like a spur. and spins. -gk
  4. first big purchase? the amp in my sig. second big purchase? one of the paintball guns in my sig. -gk
  5. I use jerkbaits from the bank all the time,I use them more as a slow moving crankbait though. In warmer water I like to let it sink and BARELY hit the tops of weeds, then rip it up. repeat. I usually do this on flats, it covers a lot of ground while still appealing to fish who don't want something blazing past their face. By the way, as a fellow bank beater don't get into the mindset of "boat baits" and "bank baits". Use what you think is the most versatile and what they will be biting. ps. pointers sink REALLY slow in warmer water. -gk
  6. rod: tree branch Reel: soup can soft bait: thawed worms hard bait: frozen worms wire bait: meh don't need them. all kidding aside NRX 6'9" MH/F Steez (I have enough plastics) some random shallow diving crank booyah 3/8oz tandem spinnerbait -gk
  7. i remember that, there was even a "shimano support group". any ways back on topic. I like my PQs, I too have been thinking about fixing one up just because. PS. I also have shimanos, abus, and a quantum. I'm not a fanboy of any make or model. -gk
  8. Honestly, I could fish ponds with nothing more than 1 bag of trick worms, 1 bag of 7.5" culprit style worms and some really light weight bullet weights and be fine. I usually fish the trick worms rigged weedless and weightless with a 2/0 or 3/0 hook. I very rarely use a weight, but when I do they are tiny weights, mostly either 1/32 or 1/16. I also will say this, don't be the guy who is like "small water small lures". Don't be affraid to use whatever size stuff you want to. I caught my old pb (about 8lbs.) on a 1/2 spinnerbait, WAY too big for those guys. -gk

I was just thinking the other day, I have been a member on here for coming up on 5 years, and I wanted to give a couple thoughts. first, has it really been that long? second the vast amount of knowledge on here makes pretty much any and all magazines irrelavent, I picked up an issue of bassin' the other day and was like man I remember a thread on BR from a while ago that was way better than this. I have also seen a lot of changes on the forum. I have to say if you were'nt around for muddy's (you mook) awesome music threads and hillarious grumpy old man-isms you are the one who is missing out. third I just wanted to say that this has been the most level headed best moderated forum I get on, I have seen VERY little scuffles or arguing in the time I've been here, and the ones that did exist were basicly a reslut of reading a post wrong and were quickly resolved. Another thing I notice is how few bots i have seen. I'm not shure if I've ever seen one. overall, I have to say, my hat is off to Glenn for making such a great site that actually has a sense of community to it. well it's getting late and I don't remember half the stuff I was going to say, so.. sincerely, guitarkid ps. between this thing --> http://www.flickr.co...N04/8016949671/ and working I really have'nt been on very much lately

  14. It was a small private school that was a 5 minute walk to the main gate, so I am talking CLOSE to the action. Here is one more, when we finally made contact with my Dad, he gave my Mom a list of wives and loved ones to call. My Mom later said those were some of the hardest phone calls to make. -gk
  15. 7th or 8th grade english class. The school I was going to was about 2 miles from the main gate at Quantico, so needless to say it was crazy. My Dad helped evacuate people out of the pentagon. I lost friends at the pentagon. I know people who were in the pentagon when it was hit. when my mom came to pick us up from school, we had to stop by walmart to get some medicine, my older brother said we need a flag, We bought the biggest flag they had. It now flies outside our house, on a regular basis -gk
