  1. Find the depth changes and spend all you time fishing the trees on the edges of the change. Go to the shoreline trees that are out in the water and fish the grass or moss beds at individual point trees or weed lines. Throw fast movers til you locate the right structure and then slow down and pick them off one by one. Remember your successful locations and go back to them again if needed. Change, change, change, look for change. Cypress stands are great if you find change.
  2. Enough fishing tackle is like enough fishing, no such thing!
  3. Dirty , stained, deep water or at night. I use them. But with super action soft plastics, don't need them otherwise.
  4. All good info. Hot weather is really hard on handled fish, so get them back in the water asap.
  5. If anyone something bad about one of your hero's, take'em fish'in and leave'em at the ramp. Let'em walk home, they'll get the message. Now that's enough, let's go fish'in.

  10. Sure thing, sometimes you hear wanna be studs talkin about bustin the headboard on their bed, well I sure enough did it sett'in the hook in my dreams and my wife thought a car ran into the side of the house.
  11. Eat , sleep and fish, no that aint right. Sleep, eat and fish, no that's not right either. Fish, eat, sleep and Fish, now that sounds more like it.
  12. Sure, every time I go fishing.
  13. With so much trash on TV now and here some of you are trashing Fishing Shows. Shame on you. Next time it's blowing gale force winds and raining sideways, plus your boat is in the shop, Go inside and watch OPRAH you whiner's. He He.....that'll teach' ya.
  14. Keep fishing and keep asking questions about fishing. Advise you to start out with small spinners first as they will catch just about everything in a body of water. Then as mentioned, Hire a guide and be sure to tell him before you hire him that you want to learn as much as possible during your trip and he will accomodate you, I'm sure.
  15. Welcome aboard, glad to see that you are management minded from the get go. As above mentioned take out all the catfish you want and keep a close eye on how the bass numbers are cking out.
  16. Glad to have you, you will be teach'in us in no time. Fish till you drop.

Welcome aboard, this group of folks are down right nice. Can't say that every where you go now can you?
  19. Welcome to the group Diggity. Lot of good people on this forum that are eager to help you out. If you caught fish every time you went, they would call it catch'in instead of fish'in.
  20. now your talkin'
  21. Sure, let's catch'em, throw'em in a live well, haul'em across the lake, drag'em up to the scales, throw'em on and weigh'em, then haul'em down to the lake and chunk'em in. That ought to teach her to have babies! Did it when I was just starting out, but that's been 40 years ago and since then I don't think we should bother the very fish that are doing their best to provide us with the very thing that we love doin more than anything else in the world. Besides that, I catch plenty of nice size fish without imposing on bed fish. I get to fish more than I should, if that's possible. Guide
  22. Great info but I haven't cared about the sex of a bass for a long time. I'm in my 70's.
  23. Great ideas! keep up the good work.
