Craw question
My choice is to use smaller craws in clear water-clear days and larger in heavy stained or cloudy water or low light conditions. Regardless of water clarity I choose super action craws like the Rage Tail craws from Strike King. Although they are only offered in one size at this point, it does'nt matter, the fish slam'em big time.

FROGGING
The new rage Tail frog (toad) rights itself every time when you start the retrieve. interesting that it does that and looking closer to design difference I think it is cupped and keeled at nose to make it happen. Great design.

paca craws
Rage Tail Craws and Chunks are my new go to baits, lotta money being won on them recently and they don't tear up near as bad.

Jig and a trailer?
Any jig with the new Rage Tail chunk or craw as trailer is unbeatable
-
ragetail craw
I don't throw Paca any more unless I run out of Ragetails. Color on Rages hasn't mattered much as well, guess the fish are psyched on the action.

ragetail craw
Legs hang on better than paca and have much better action at slopw movement and great at fast as well, love the chunks too.

to the bait monkey
Tis the season to decorate your tree with the assorted colors of all of those different baits you bought last year and did'nt use. Makes a great conversation piece when the family comes by on Christmas Day and maybe they will help you add to your collection next year. Oh NO! Now the Bait Monkey has got them and they don't even fish, He is a sly Devil!

Best/Favourite baits and lures
JIG'n chunk or CRAW Texas rigged. Rage Tails are best design going bass can't leave 'em alone.

ragetail craw
Lot of money being won on these lately and they are now my favorite craws and chunks. Been throwing them alot since Fall and hammering the fish. Claws stay on even in the junk, thats a plus and they have absolutely awesome action both fast and super slow. even on the fall with 3/16 oz weight or jig, claws still going wacko. I don't leave home without them.

Trailor Hooks on Frogs
Late this year, I started using a small red trailer hook on my frogs and hook up percentage increased substantially. I'm throwing the SKLCo Rage Toads and and Shad and trailer doesn't affect the action at all. Am I by myself on using trailer hooks on frogs or are some of you folks doin it too?

Scents for bass home made or store bought????
Go to the grocery store and but a bottle of mineral oil and a bottle of cod liver oil-DONE! Mix the cod liver oil sparingly or too your liking. Bass smack on it.

Tactics When Fishing Heavily Fished Waters?
Throw Texas rigged Rage craw using no more than a 3/16 or 1/4 ounce weight, slower the fall the better and the claws go ballistic even at slower pace. Chances are they have never seen it before cause it's so new and they can't resist it either. Good luck!

Soft Plastic Blues

Innovative Soft Plastics
Just got in a shipment of the Rage tail craws and chunks. Too cold and windy to fish so I pitched them in my pool. WOW !!!!!!!! The action is unbelievable. Just barely move them and those claws go spastic on'em. I'm tuned up and ready to go. Brrrrrrrrrr!

Innovative Soft Plastics
I am a big fan of soft plastic baits that produce their own action with a very slight movement of the rod tip or during the retrieve both slow and or quick. Too many softies have no action whatsoever and you have to constantly try to give it some sort of rhythmic or life like action to make them effective. Some of the newer Craws, Toads, Chunks etc. are not only active but very attractive to the fish as well. I like the direction that some Companies are going and its about time. Just when you think you are out of the strike zone and reeling quickly back to the boat to make another cast, some of these newer action packed designs get smashed due to their continuous movement and flapping motion.

Innovative Soft Plastics
That is a really kool looking bait. Can see how it would be effective in many different conditions.

Innovative Soft Plastics
Only seen one size about 4 in. and they work well on a fat heavy skirted jig. Come to think of it, everything works better on a fat heavy skirted jig. Guess I'm a jig-a-maniac.

Spider Jigs Vs Skirted Jigs
I think spider grubs are great in many applications and standard jig and chunks are just as great in just as many situations. There are many styles of jigs and each have there best applications in my opinion. I am a jig-i-nut and have three or four rods on deck, tied with different sizes and styles no matter what. It's what your used to and have the most confidence in that works best most of the time.

My garage doesn't smelll to good these days and my wife says that &%#^* doesn't smell like fish and is now wondering if I am really fishin all this time. I tried washing it out and aired the rig in the sun with hatches up for almost a week, didn't help. Anyone got any ideas? I knew better, BUT!!!

Innovative Soft Plastics
My wrist are worn out and can't crank-a-bait-a much anymore so I down to soft-a-bait-a's to make it easier on my sore-a butt-a, if you-a know-a what-a I-a mean-a.

Innovative Soft Plastics
Those eel baits are definitely interesting looking. Had not seen those before. Seems that alot of the baits nowadays are just slightly different knock-offs of someone else's. I appreciate those who really step out there and make a statement in a new and different idea or design.

Innovative Soft Plastics
I've got them too and agree with you Bass Finattic, they are definately different and Kool looking especially in the water. Catch fish really well too! Looks like Strike King is stepp'in it up in the soft plastics. Hope they keep coming out with new colors as well as more new designs. Cold fronts and wind here in Texas, Brrrrr!
