  1. SKLCo Elite model and Oldham jigs
  2. @%$^& happens and Tackle warehouse folks are good people, everyone likes KVD, you have to, he works at fish'in as hard as anyone in the industry. There have been folks that I didn't care too much about until I found out that they liked to fish, then I liked them just fine.
  3. Jigs are winning as they should.

Short hop it and or rip it in the grass. Short hop it or drag it in the sand and/or gravel. Short hop and drag in the rocks. Short hop it and drag it down ledges or drop offs. Short hop it in brush after original fall and short hop it in brush on the way out of it. Short hop it but keep it slow.
  5. # 1 trailer hooks #2 Slow down on your hook set just long enough to let'em load up and then give'em the steel. Cures most of it.
  6. Haven't had alot of good results with berkely add on scents although the power morms work well. Mega strike is good stuff.
  7. Good luck, I throw'em till I lose'em, then go after some more. That's Fish'in.
  8. I'll go with bomber for the dollar but SK makes some good yet inexpensive cranks as well. Most run well out of the package.
  9. like'em t-rigged best, they are a nice bait.
  10. I like the way they walk and fish like them too.
  11. Wondering the same as you. If they don't take on water like some of the others like it maybe it will be a good bait.
  12. X3 KVD was on Bass Pros show past wkend and he showed the best technique which is above noted.
  13. I kinda lean toward the soft packs with insert boxes and outside zipper pockets to store a variety of tools etc. The BIGGER the better. You will fill it up.
  14. Texas rig is very popular on a craw bait. Or you can use a jig and just pinch a short piece from the craw and thread it onto the jig hook. some use full length craw but I like them a bit shorter. Strike King makes good jigs, they are what I use. Small bodies of water, you can downsize to a bitsy bug jig by SK or larger bodies of water and or deeper use a 3/8 or 1/2 oz pro model jig (SK) they also have a rattle built in. good fishin!

I like the Rage Tail Toads, they have awesome action and right themselves if they land upside down. Have been using them since Fall last year and the fish hammer'em.
  16. See comments in post flipping/pitching open water.
  17. Forgot to mention creek channel bends and points below the surface. But again that's something different and it's about as good as it get's.
  18. Heavy jigs for punching thru matted grass or deep structure. Or adjust your jig size to the application. There are as many open water haunts that hold fish as there are shorelines and most of the year, this is correct. Any depth change, change in bottom like mud to gravel, rock, timber laying or standing that can't be seen at the surface, small drains or ditches in any depth of water, small or large humps below the surface at any depth, man made objects that are submerged, but to keep it simple like was mentioned prior to my comments, SOMETHING DIFFERENT. A jig can be deadly in all of these situations.
  19. My first choice is a jig, then my second choice is a Jig, and my last choice is a JIG. Besides those three, I throw a JIG.
  20. 5/0 wide gap just like the pictures show works best for me.
  21. Rage Tail chunk will wake'em up
