  1. I have had a Spirex 49.99$, Sedona 59.99$ (still do), Sahara79.99$ and Symetre 99.99$. Of all 4 I still use the Sedona, sold all others a while back for money reasons. Worse mistake of my life lol. The symtre is incredible IMO. The Sahara is great as well and so is the Sedona. I would stay away from the spirex though. I Use the sedona cause it is cheap but effective and reliable. If you can, spring for the Symetre or Sahara. If the Sedona is in your price range it is well worth it IMO. Great bang for your buck.
  2. As far as Shimano reels go IMO you cant beat em. Even the mid priced spinning reels are great. I have a Spirex, Sedona, Sahara and Symetre and love them all except the Spirex. It was really heavy and felt akward and bulky. Was never very smooth either. The Sedona is my favorite because its 60$ which is very affordable and a great reliable reel. Never had any problems with it, it is my go to spinning reel. Of course for 20$ more you can grab the Sahara which is an outsanding reel and for 20$ more than the Sahara you can get the Symetre which is my favorite when price is not concerned. I had a 2500fj and to put it easily, if i could fish one spinning reel for the rest of my life it would be the Symetre. As far as rods go, the Compre at 100$ is my first choice. The Crucial for 50$ more is, like the symetre, my rod of choice when price is not concerned. Great sensitivity and a good strong backbone. Plus Shimano has a lifetime warranty which makes it even sweeter. I am not boosting Shimano only, even though it may look that way, just a fan! For 50 you can get the Allstar classic rods at academy for 50$ which is a good deal, they are nice inexpensive rods. I have heard great things about the Shimano Clarus for 70$, i just havent picked one up yet. Good luck and hope this helped!
  3. FAT Crappie, nice job!
  4. A fish is released after being caught? Do they leave the spot they were in? I am curious why people say that spot is heavily fished so dont waste your time and i was curious if this is why?

If the police had been called and found out i was not insured my car would have been immediately towed to an impound. In Texas (not sure anywhere else) it is mandatory to have full coverage on any vehicle you do not own. If you own the vehicle, only liability is required. But since i wrote a statement addmitting fault the gentlemen decided not to call the police. I talked to a manager at the dealership who informed me that taking legal procedure would not help either one of us since it would cost more for him to pursue this legally than to just fix the problem himself at his dealership. However, we did come to an agreement and i got lucky. He said that he would do his best to get the sitaution cleared up with no problems and if "corporate" wants to take other measures he said he will try and work me the same deal his employees get when they have car damage. Just have to wait on the phone call.

Bingo. Yeah i know trust me i have heard it from every family member, friend and co worker. I know it doesnt justify not having insurance but time is a big factor in the rerason why the car was not insured. My wife and i share one car and work opposite schedules and have a 6 month old son with various baby sitters so getting anything done is not impossible but close to it. I work on average 95- 104 hours every 2 weeks and my wife works her fair shair as well. We actually had planned on getting coverage re-newed monday of next week after the policy ran out a little over 3 weeks ago. Probably the worst mistake we have ever made and were paying for it big time. Another lesson learned the hard way :-[

SLAM! Ran into the back of a van being driven by a dodge dealership employee yesterday evening on my way home from work. No ABS+ wet roads from a new rain and being in serious need of new tires= disaster. It was only a matter of time. Not to mention it could not have happened at a worse time and im not just being dramatic. I cant even begin to explain the situation. On a good note, my son and wife were not in the car thank god. My neck is hurtin pretty good and i have a few bruises but im fine. Back to work tomorrow with as much OT as possible to build up the bank account from almost a $0 balance. Story of my life so far haha. Strictly cosmetic damage but alot of it. For a tiny Toyota Yaris it held up very well. Now if i can just get my wife to stop reminding me i wrecked her car . Got a ballpark estimate from a friend/ mechanic. He said "2-3 g's". Ouch. Anyways..... Drive safely boys and girls!!!!
  8. Do you use it? Why or why not? If it increases sensitivity then why not always use it?

Same as my shakey head and senko rod. 6'6" MF Spinning combo. Really anything weightless i throw with this combo. Just use a 4/0 hook, it has enough weight on its own. Might want to try a 7' rod though. I am thinking of a longer rod for a better hookset. Either will work though
  10. I believe the word shart is in order 8-).
  11. What is your jerkbait set-up and what else do you like to throw with it and why?
  12. I Do not have a boat so im bankin it for the time being until can afford one. I fish these two lakes cause they are in my area but i have not had much luck lately. Does anyone know some bank spots or any spots to fish for that matter where i can possibly do some catching?

  14. Gasol was gettin to the line like crazy there at the end of the 4th. Lakers D was great. Not a laker fan but congratulations LA.
  15. Another rod at academy i was curious about. Anyone have anything for me?
  16. Cavitron Buzzbait black on black 3/8 oz ;D
  17. Your ideal conditions for throwing a shakey head and what technique works best for you? I have tried a few times but it never paid off for me. I am determined to make it work.
  18. The best rod i have ever owned. Not saying the best period, but for me it was the one. I was planning on replacing all of my rods with crucials. Then I met my wife, had our baby boy and sold every piece of fishing equipment i had except my tackle boxes cause we were in need of money. Oh how I miss my set ups.... :'(. Back on topic! I used my MH F for all T rigs and on the rare occasion i used a c rig it was my dh for that as well. Even threw some topwaters with it, caught my first topwater bass with it. Great action and great sensitivity. Like i said if i could have one rod it would be a crucial.
  19. Got this for my son and it works great. it crinkles and makes noise like when you crinkle a paper and he goes crazy. The little things in life....Its the elephant btw! http://www.brightstarts.com/p-167-snuggle-teethe.aspx
  20. Without a question (IMO) Shimano Symetre 2500.
  21. I was at Academy and I was looking at the allstar classics which did not have any rod specs on the spinning rods. I saw a 6'6" rod, line weight 8-12, lure weight ( i think ) 1/8-1/2 oz. Would this be a medium or a ML? It felt a little light so im guessing its a ML...?
  22. I just woke up my wife who is extremely angry cause i also woke up my 5 month old son who is crying cause i was laughing so loud. Dude that was insane!
  23. Never used either one or any daiwa product for that matter, I was looking at this for a BC setup. Strikeforce and a MH F TD Pro rod. Anyone use these or have any input?
  24. I am looking for a cheap but decent BC reel and rod since money is short. I remember a while ago some talk about the Max line and hearing good things, anyone fish these?
