My all time favorite type of strike, comes on a crankbait. The feeling you get when steadily cranking in the bait only to have it just STOP, You pull back to feel the powerful head shake.

I'm not really sure if scents make a difference in actually attracting fish. But I still use Megastrike to lubricate my soft swimbaits (Hudds, Mattlures bluegill, Lake Fork etc.) I also use JJ's clear on all of my Soft plastics. At the very least it will mask the Human odor. Maybe even get the bass to hold on 1-2 sec. longer to give me a chance to set the hook.

As always your work amazes me. Question, do you put rattles in your crank baits??

Its a very bad picture to be judging weight. But if I had to guess based only on the "Mouth to Hand ratio" Id have to say right around 4lbs.

Why don't we try and do this Sunday morning early AM. IF we do it Monday afternoon with it getting dark early we wont have much time on the water.

That is a sweet boat for $2600. Have the owner take you out on a test drive to make sure everything works ok. Otherwise thats a really nice starter boat.

Yea, Im on a bad streak of losing BIG FISH. The good thing is I didnt lose the big fish last night. My brother did. LOL Doug if we can get 5 fish like these on Thursday Night, will have the Tourney on lock.

Took my younger brother (2manycrankb8s) out for some fishing tonight. We did very well cranking the Banks and boat docks after dark, using shallow diving crankbaits. We caught 5 fish total, And lost one pig at the Boat that ran off with $17 hanging from her lip. Between my brother and I, we have been on a bad streak for losing GIANT fish in this lake RIGHT AT THE BOAT. I guess we need to work on our netting technique a little more.
