  1. thanks, its fun to find fish that reload and reload for me.
  2. florida was tough fishing for them at the end of the year 2 years ago, and tough fishing this year too. i would say its no wonder they are not coming back.
  3. wow those fish are eating well in and around those boats!
  4. hey, with no gators around. id be wading!
  5. i have found a couple of nice brush piles on a deep dishpan sandy bottom lake in central florida that requires private access and i have "found" some other new ones. i was just looking at some pictures from this month out there and was a bit overwhelmed with the ammount and quality. last month w/out a camera of course i had 2 9's and 2 8's in one day. i havent had a day like that this month, but there have been a few decent fish. heres some pictures from just this month: (see fishindaddy's recent posts for a few more.)

krugey my man i wouldnt sweat it. two years ago i got on a kick on the pit that i live on where i would encourage everyone to catch and release only. result: skinny fish and fish kill... the balance is a delicate thing, and the harvesting of bass is important in the process... nice fish
  7. loosen that drag josh! nice fish.
  8. in the soft plastic its the horny toad hands down for me. in the hollow body its scum frog and spro
  9. I had the same experience during the bluegill spawn last year at this time. i was in water where i was getting 20+lb limits. i cast into the pads and a huge fish rolled on the bait, i saw shoulders of a 6+ pounder, i set the hook and pinned the fish, when i got to him it was a 2 1/2lb bass. the wrong fish won the race to the bait on that one.

its all good bryan, i just bought 156 packs of the zoom horny toads from a guy at about $0.35 a toad, so im stocked up for awhile. all the same, if anybody is unloading let me know... i love the horny toad! we should have a rage tail v. horny toad fish off...
  11. rofl ;D ;D
  12. okay, so far on the mildly rusted, a little wd40 a toothbrush and/or wire brush seems to be working... if its rusted inside the eye, im having trouble... i know its a lot of hooks - yes i have a problem (first step), this is the first time ive taken all the hooks and weights out in awhile and the ammount of tungston flipping weights i have is grotesque, i bet id pick up 5 miles an hour if i left them on shore, and like a moron i had them stored so that the hooks were on the hinge side of my plano so that when that compartment on the boat got damp and the hinges were down they took on water...
  13. i have about $100 worth of slightly rusted hooks on my hands here (some of which are discontinued 6/0 gami superline straightshank), i think im willing to give it a go if theres a way.
  14. how do you guys clean slightly rusted fishing hooks?

any of you rage tail frog enthusiasts who have piles of zoom toads you are never going to use, and want a penny's on the dollar offer hit me up. i far prefer the horny toad to the rage tail... help me help you!
  16. i flip w/ a 7'6 or 7'11, and when flipping lighter baits i make sure to load the rod w/ the bait in my hand, putting pressure on the bait so that when i let go the rod works w/ me to give the bait distance. just make sure you dont apply too much pressure and hook yourself when you let go!
  17. x2 - there is no issue if the bait is kept moving.
  18. WOW! just... WOW!
